No wonder, Beneteau closed the boat during the show for your tour, because they knew, they will get the best video, there possibly is.
And it indeed is a very nice boat with a lot of clever details and a huge flybrigde.
Thanks as always, Nick...
Hi Nick. 6 berth, 2 head and a flybridge. A 48 with plenty of space aboard, almost 1000 hp and a decent range. Awesome video thanks 😊
I love that you don't edit out your little flubs and bloopers here and there, you keep it real. I respect that and enjoy your candor and humour. Please never change, Nick. Cheers!
I appreciate that!
I saw some other boat RUclipsrs' videos that were at times just chaotic and poorly presented. It reminded me why Nick's videos are so excellent. Request hereby for Nick to mention whether there's aircon aboard and address security lockups so that people don't steal stuff from the boat when the owner is away. Love your videos, keep 'em coming, Nick.
Air con is generally an option on this type of boat
A beautiful trawler that has just the right amount of glam. An excellent tour Nick! Cheers Sir.
Thank you kindly
An excellent summary, sir!
Ultimate owner/operator yacht, just hits the sweet spot. Two persons can handle that very nicely, and have a right royal standard of living on board. They even look nice, there is still that traditional trawler all over this one. Good one!
I do like how Benetaeu package their trawlers. Plenty of room, well laid out, bucket loads of storage, performance when you meed/want it and very good range when you drop the speed back. Another excellent tour Nick.
I agree with you. What I would like to have on this boat would be a reversible aft seat. Just like they did with the one across from the helm on the fly bridge. I'm sure the manufacturer would quite easily and gladly custom make that.
"Oiley bits" love it. The boating world would be lost without you Nick. A joy as ever. Thank you
Red socks and Knobbly knees, the channel that just jeeps on giving , cheers Nick
What a great boat, practical and comfortable. Plenty of room, storage and space. Great tour from Nick as he really goes into everything.
The Beneteau Swift Trawler has matured. Different layout in the cockpit, aft galley, salon and helm. And below decks are different enough to matter. Everything in the design seems a bit tighter. The fit and finish is the same high quality as always, but the finishes have been updated. Then there is the flybridge - no after thought here. This is a fully sussed out social area - with room to spare. The party's on the top deck! Well, many thanks to Beneteau for a job very well done and Nick, you keep me on an even keel with every review you do - Thanks.
A great, usable boat. Speed when you need it, space for all the family - a lot to like. Thanks for the tour Beneteau and Nick!
Seems kind of underwhelming (because you keep showing truly amazing boats) and I love it. A generator would be a must, and I'd think a stabilizer, if there's room. Nothing pretentious, just a nice boat. Thanks, Nick, for bringing us another great tour.
Swift trawler like this could convert me to one in my old age. Well laid out, good functionality, nice looking and excellent range at low speed. Great video as always. Thank you. ☺
Great tour, thanks.
Love the look of trawlers. Might sound silly but to me a trawler yacht looks like a real boat should look. Something romantic and trustworthy about it.
Nice boat, but now it has a big gally and a small salon. It should be the opposite, in my opinion. Do you spend more time sitting in the salon or cooking in the gally? I prefer the older Beneteau's, but I really like this boat. The range is outstanding. Add a water maker, solar panels on the hard top, generator, and some battery banks and this boat would be very hard to beat.
As you said Nick, more than once, “Practical Thinking”! That is what puts this vessel in a league of its own. Best live-a-board under 50 feet for the price and function. No wonder they sold 30 in less than a year!
Just got in. Not much longer.
Destroyer Wheels definitely add to that little ship feel. Nice upgrades for this edition of the Swift Trawler. Lovely boat indeed and thanks for the tour as always, Nick!
Love the sports cruisers and superyachts but these are just so practice take the sliding steps for example making that area so much larger. Love them.
Thanks Nick brilliant tour
Every time you laugh, I get that sense of humour, you British have. Thanks again for another vessel!
Great knees Nick and you didn't wave at us in the mirror ... Marianne didn't forget on her tour! 😉 Stay Safe & Keep Reporting!!
04:15 This boat has a lot of practical & useful stuff. That under-cabinet sliding wire cage system is, as you Brits would say, Brilliant.
07:30 the use of space for cabins is clever. The day-head shower is large - considering it is a 48-footer, lots of sub-60-footers don't even have a day-head
13:33 Barbeque is something you eat, not something on which you cook something you intend to eat. That is a GRILL. How one makes BBQ on an electric grill is a mystery to me.
16:40 Cummings engines are almost indestructible. I have one in a 26-YO pickup with over 400k miles. These motors are monsters.
My kind of boat. Love trawler yachts. Lovely. Thanks Nick.
I completely agree with you Nick. Red socks with deck shoes, shorts with long sleeve shirt... proper Englishman on holiday attire in a posh resort :) Great boat, seems reasonably priced compared to similar boats but it will go up for sure, once you kit it out a little with some essential extras, especially for extended stays. Last year, I was in a small marina in southwest Turkiye and half of the boats appeared to be Beneteau, their full range probably. Very very popular boats indeed.
What a lovely boat...you've sold this one too me....
Another nice boat. Looks so practical it does the job. And you would feel safe to go anywhere. Like it.
A great retirement boat for a couple!! Very nice of them to close it off for you.
Finally we get the 48!
Thanks Nick!
A very complete yacht with 3 cabins, 2 full heads with separate showers and 2,000 mile range! Of course at 5 knots it'll take you over 14 full days to go that, but it's nice to know you can be out for quite a bit! Thanks for the tour!
Would these big diesels enjoy being run at 5 knots?
@@fearhand12 Diesels perform best at consistent RPMs, whether that’s 800 or 1,200. I don’t think they’ll complain much as long as it’s consistent…
What a perfect little retirement boat. Not too much-and just the right amount of boat. That aft galley is nice, especially the large fridge/freezer. The only thing I'd change is adding that dishwasher haha!!
And an oven 🤣
@@spandangle334 Haha!! yes
Hi Nick, And thank you for again a great show of this Beneteau Swift Trawler 48 I still remember the first show from you with a Swift trawler a new line at that time there are a lot of nice upgrades indeed I like that big dining table but also the 3 bedrooms with 2 head great Thanks again Nick ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Love these style of boats, being so practical, and a lovely big door to the side brings the outside in. Thanks Nick 😎✌🏻
A realy sensible boat with all the good solutions that makes it great for staying onboard for a long time. Thank you for the tour 😀
Our pleasure!
That's a nice and practical "little" yacht. :)
Thanks for the tour!
Good review Nick nice boat with plenty of additions .
Has it all. Speed and distance depending on how you want to use it. Great looks and facilities. Nice one Nick
Great tour (as ever) of a fantastic boat! I always admired the ST50 when they were in production, and this is a worthy successor.
If I had that I’d call it “missing link” and follow here original route around UK before buggering off to the med 😂. Thank you for showing us around that amazing trawler.
Dammit! I like the trawler idea and these boats do it well. You made me do a little digging and I like the 41.
Nick, very smart design for a small trawler. Looks like they've covered all their bases.
The only thing missing is a ice maker and a wine cooler. I really like thus one. Thank you Nick.
I think normal people could make do with a fridge and freezer
@@neiltitmus9744 For a million dollars, I'd like the ice maker.
Thanks NICK. Something like this is what I would like to retire onto in another 5 to 10 years.
Thanks Nick, great tour as always on a great and really well package trawler, a lot going for this Benetaeu👍👋
That is a very nice practical boat, great layout and use of space. Love the finishes and I think the aft galley layout suits it. Great tour as always, thank you Nick.
Wow Nick !!! This is the best so far .... lot of space two families and a kid as guests also owner accomodation, this is real cool in my humble oppinion; also excelent-handly galley with spacious fridge just so close for taking yourself a cold beer or a botle of wine ... just magnificent.
Not talking about those two wild Cummins helping you to get out of trouble in Red See waters ---for sure, believe me. At this price, i.ll be tempt to dig in my back-yard, after my entire life-savings .... lol lol ...
Overall a nice-practical boat. Thank you so much for this great tour Nick.
BTW .... Marianne was brilliant yesterday on her tour. She did a great job. My best wishes for her & you also.
RESPECT & CONSIDERATION !!!
All the right things in all the right places. Beneteau is getting better!
i love these trawler style boats!
Lovely boat with decent accommodation. Thank. You Nick 👍
That’s a lot of boat for the money Nick, 3 berth, 2 heads, flybridge… it keeps on going! Benetaeu are really making some lovely vessels, very good indeed! 👍🏻
Fantastic! I really like the designs of Beneteau yachts
Trank you for the Great Tour! I love that Kind of Beats!!
Our pleasure!
It's fun to laugh along with you as you bring yet another fine showing to the table! It lets us know the fun extended far beyond just creating a wonderful video for Us, as I'm sure the nightlife is enjoyable for you as well. Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you!! Hello from the southeast United States 🌴😎🌴
Glad you enjoy it! 🙂
@@AQUAHOLIC always!!!
I love your tours. At first glance, I wasn't very impressed, but your tour and explanation of all the features changed my mind! Thank you for such great tours.
Our pleasure!
Another great video! I just commented a few days ago about how the Beneteau trawlers are just such nice boats for retired people and here you are with a trawler haha. Thank you for the content!
Thats a lot of boat and range for the price , great work Nick
Mary didn't excellent job on the video the other day and I enjoyed it
Just a fantastic compromise... nicer than a day boat, not quite an explorer yacht... not $5M either!! Perfect couples boat...
Well sir I do not know what to say, other than it worked! If the ploy was to get me to watch all the Beneteau Trawler videos you have made, it worked! On reviewing them all…I chose all of them! This one is really nice, like the layout and the colors. Another beautiful boat and excellent tour, thank you sir! And yes I actually watched them all again on your channel!
Lovely walk through Nick. Thanks.
I like certain things about this boat and it does look like a solid and good quality boat.
However I don't like the layout. Maybe it's because I'm in the UK but I like a nice cosy lounge/saloon area for those cold nights to watch a movie. I don't want to be laying on my dining table. It looks like the galley has taken over.
Amazing the space on board Nick, a very well thought out design.
Given how nice their sailing yachts are, it’s amazing they let this tub out of the factory.
Look how spry Nick is. He can get into any space and then back out. Like a Ninja.
Hey Nick another beauty from Beneteau I love the flybridge on this and I would definitely go with the hardtop too, fabulous yacht and tour you have yourself a great day bud 👍
Thanks 👍
It cracks me up that the infill cushions are often stored in spaces that are designed for other uses - a hanging locker for example. It the manufacture is going to make infill cushions, they should design a specific place to store them when they aren’t needed rather than dumping them on the bed in a cabin or in a locker.
This is perfectly liveable boat - like home from home stuff. Nice vid, Nick. I love Your bloopers - "I'll edit it out later"... xD
Very nice. Another great tour Nick.
Nice one. It has everything needed, or it does if you choose the washer/dryer option.
For Christmas this year, I want a blooper/outtake compilation video 😄
A very nice package. I would take one even with the traditional squeaky floors.
Another brilliant boat and video nick 🚤⛵️🛥👍👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks 👍
Another great video. Many thanks. The beneteau lots to like , moulded steps to FB would be better than a ladder but otherwise superb
It feels like this size, style, and use case is really crying out for an aft cabin layout. Much better for a liveaboard than the somewhat compromised forward cabin.
great videos! but i highly recommend you record higher than 1080 as it looks blurry on higher-res monitors. plus the boats will look so much better in 4k!
Stay tuned! 🙂
Kudos to Beneteau for closing the boat so Nick can give us a proper tour.
It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but these trawler style boats are growing on me, for the size of this one they've certainly packed in everything you need or the spaces for things like the washing machine etc. I really like the improvements on this model compared to the older. Again Mr Burnham sir another grand tour ❤️ Aquaholics as ever, please keep it up Nick thanks 👌🖖
Great boat, great review as always. Thanks Nick!
Glad you enjoyed it
Stunning boat ... I'm wondering if that storage area should have a plastic guard around the steering mechanism because it only take something to get loose and get caught up in it jamming the steering .. maybe my eye for detail is a bit ocd but last thing is want is bent hydrologic steering arms right out at sea .. I'm one of those who rather have it and never need it over not have it but need it lol but that's just the way I think 😀
Something like this, with a fast, fun jet tender would be what I'd have, big boat for comfort and range, tender for zooming about
Absolutely beautiful! Excellent layout!
Always a sucker for a trawler, and these are really well thought out, cast off and go, yes please. Nice tour Nick and easy to understand now we are back to using small words 😂
Love this boat. I've always wanted to ask this....I understand the boat running on shore power for your electrical needs and that's fine, but when you're out on the water does the engine alternator/generator supply enough power for the entire boat? Once you are at anchor away from any shore power do the batteries also provide enough power to run all the items on the boat? Or do the batteries just do the low voltage things like lights? Do you have to start the engine to use high voltage items like the oven or maybe a clothes washer/dryer? All of this is assuming, of course, you don't have the full size generator. Thanks Nick. As always, greetings from Texas.....John B.
If it's electric cooking you need shore power of generator to run it. But gas will of course work. Most other stuff will run from batteries
Great boat and as always great review
And Sir Peter Blake would have loved the red socks 😄
Noice for a widdle trawler! Great tour as always - Thanks Nick!
Thanks for watching!
Very nice boat endeed, but I was thinking, having the engine right in the "living room" seems to me it would make a lot of noice, and from what I could see there wasn't a lot of insulation?
Think you’ve been in those places to hide away with a good book or 3😂 a great video so British and so Nick.
I liked this yacht but needs an ice maker
The fridge/freezer and stove/oven are great. Cant have too much Fridge
I would upgrade the finishes, starting with the 'plastic-looking' closures to the hatch leading to the engine room. Of course, this copy was not completely fitted out in time for the show but you gave us a complete idea of what it was all about.
Great packaging. Great video
Very nice. Your lovely bride did a splendid job on the last video btw. Must have had a good teacher.😉
A beautiful boat and sso much sense in the layout. I am starting to have more positive thinking on the lighter wood finish interior as it makes for a lighter accommodation areas.
One for the shortlist.
Thanks again, Nick, a really good tour.
Neil.
p.s. Strawberry coloured shorts with the red socks!
I like your tours but can you start including the length of the beds so we can get a sense of maximum Hights that would fit in each bed
As always I get to dream for a while thanks to you Nick ❤
Another Great Video From Nick The Yacht looks More expensive than it is. BIG THANKS NICK FOR THE GREAT VIDEO. 👍👍👍🚤⛵
Thanks for watching!
Fabulous ! Have they yet to paint the cupboards?Would definitely be opting for something other than that finish !
Hi Nick A great tour as always. Do you know who makes that kitchen cupboard storage unit? I have seen similar an several of your tours and I think it would work really well in most kitchen never mind on boats.
No idea I'm afraid, sorry!
Would range improve with running with one motor at 5kts or would the drag from the stationary prop negate any advantage?
Lots of nice touches. Ovens must be a hot item at the moment. Hard to get.
As per JeanBeneteau, another fantastic floorplan on an overpriced for the segment boat. That said, does it smell of terribly of industrial chemicals, and is the cabinetry and hardware still fimsy trash reminiscent of a cheap camper?
Wonderful walkthrough as always: Thanks so much for the video!
If you plan to take the boat out for more than a week opt for the washer and dryer option that way you don't have to carry your whole wardrobe with you and you can have maybe 5 to 7 days worth of clothing on board and several different types of weather type clothing and not have to use every bit of storage just to keep your wardrobe in other words with the washing machine you don't have to have as many clothes on board
Watching Nick give himself an editing job is my favorite part of these videos.. You have single-handedly made me want to live on a boat, which is a terrifying prospect for my wallet if nothing else..
