  • This is a passion project of mine. As somebody who loves coffee and old machines this was a dream to work on. In these two videos I show you the entire process of restoring a completely wasted old coffee grinder, as I try to make it new again. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for the video, I loved it. The care you are taking to preserve the detail is fantastic, and your desire to preserve as much of the original machine is admirable. I can't wait to see Part 2!

This is a fantastic video! I was actually just trying to look up the best way to remove decades of dust build up. My great grandmother just passed recently and I got a coffee grinder from west Germany and was looking to clean it up and put it to use.

I mean I don't really know what I'm talking about, so this is not a critique but rather an honest question:
Why epoxy, why not wood glue mixed in with sawdust. I've seen others use that to fill in holes and patch wooden stuff in restorations with great success. Especially as it keeps the "woody" look and feel.

For more strength, that mixture is good in wood that is still solid, but epoxy can actually give back strength where there is none. It sort of stabilises the wood.

@@pilotsworkshop4554 Good to know. So the wood glue plus sawdust is fine, but doesn't really improve the structural integrity whereas epoxy does. Thanks. :D

Hi Thomas erstmal tolles Video!

Now just to hope for next few weeks I don't get those rust removal porn channels in my suggestion box.
