About OFF GRID with DOUG and STACY:
We moved to our 11 acres in 2011 from a large city in the Midwest with zero carpentry and farming skills. We live with no solar / wind power / public water or well. We share our adventure to a sustainable life, growing our own food from vegetables to meat. We post videos DAILY and they range from HOW TO to EVERYDAY LIFE and NUTRITION on the off grid homestead. We were city folks just like you probably and wanted to enjoy life and have more control over our food. We share food recipes as well as natural remedies.

I love Field Trip Friday’s!! I would love to see more sprouting videos, more foraging videos. So many do foraging videos but they don’t show the leaves, stems, etc up close and I can’t tell when I’m looking what I’m looking at. Anyway...I know from personal experience that whatever you two make a video about I will DEFINITELY learn my “nugget!” Lol
You’ve been a true blessing to me in 2017 and I just can’t thank you enough for your kindness and generosity. I’m literally brought to tears when I think of how much you’ve blessed me personally and how you’ve helped me help myself! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I pray the Father blesses you in the coming years as much and more!! You definitely deserve it!
Love, hugs and blessings always ~Lisa

I really enjoy the Friday Field trips. The one at the elderberry farm reminded of my grandma who lived with us and passed away when I was 6 (I'm now 62). There was an elderberry bush in our yard and she made all sorts of things with the berrys. Many times the old ways are the best ways.

Also, I am about ready to make the many personal care recipes that you have shared. You have been very motivational and inspiring, helping me move even further away from commercial products and to one day live off grid. Thank you both for all that you have shared. Blessings

Wow, you have a lot planned for 2018! Best of luck! I know that you're dealing with a very cold winter but I'm in Texas and even we are dealing with very cold temps, but root cellar is something I'm interested. I tune in because I believe everyone is tired of not being able to do, grow, or raise in a property you bought & paid for and you are told you cannot. So the interest for me is in the freedom homesteading brings. Thank you so much for teaching and sharing!!

Like the ideas you suggested- getting the root cellar and guesthouse (2017 carryover), ice house, learning center. That’s a lot of work right there for Doug! Tips for gardening and keeping things organized and tidy are always appreciated! Especially harvesting tips, when and how to harvest, some items can be very difficult and time consuming to harvest. Also love the field trip Fridays! Would also love more fermented food ideas- I’m not a huge fan of fermented cabbage (i.e. sour kraut) so initially I was skeptical of incorporating them into my diet. However because of your channel, I have started making lacto-fermented blueberries and fermented lemonade every week, and also fermented salsa very regularly, and I love all of them!!! Still need to try sweet potatoes. Looking forward to that cookbook! More ideas for using sourdough and sprouted grains would also be great! Finally I would also love to see more info on beekeeping, harvesting honey, and keeping the bees healthy and happy! ❤️ your channel, watch it almost every day and always catch up when I miss. Keep up the great work, love you guys!!!

Re: keeping your surroundings tidy. I have my own alterations business, and people frequently comment on how nice my workroom looks. I tell them that if I'm going to spend 8 hours a day in one or two rooms, they might as well be pleasant.
