World War One Thornycroft engine first start after rebuild

  • This is the engine for our 1918 Thornycroft lorry being started for the first time after its rebuild. It started after just a couple of pulls on the starting handle.

    Tighten the darn hose clamp !!! It's driving me crazy leaking,dripping & just so easy to correct.
    PHEEEEW-EEE, got that out.

      Thanks, but it is tightened up to the max. The pipe has corroded to some extent and the water just gets through. We are thinking of the best way to remedy this and still appear correct.
