Whisper Sound intro is Indonesian Language or Bahasa Indonesia...the words I can catch "Wajah Penuh Ketakjuban akan Mukjizat" which means "Faces Full of Astonishment at the Miracle"...
I am absolutely convinced that, if we see another Raconteurs album (let's hope), they are going to explore a deeper Rock/Americana/Bluegrass sound. This album was not just one of the best albums of the year, but was one of the most solid rock albums in the history of the music.
Nah, it was a great album. Heavy Blues and Folk elements (the heart of good Rock) with the modern Rock sound. The last one was okay at best. I was convinced this was going to be the direction of musical exploration. I hope they dive deeper into this sound.
@@phillipnicewaner4480 In think my bad english doesn't help. My favorite is the first, I love the second too but I think the fird is OK but not as good as the two first one. My favorite record of Jack white in a band is probably the first of the dead weather. This record kick ass
I didn't particularly like The Dead Weather and most of the White Stripes' music was just okay with a couple handfuls of great songs. The second Raconteurs' album captured everything that made Rock music great in the 70s that slowly disappeared in the 80s.
I found the version with Ricky Skaggs on mandolin, and Ashley ?? (sorry can't recall full name) several years ago and loved it. Today, found this one, and am totally enthralled. The mirrors, the nod to "A Clockwork Orange" and the Tarot symbolism, (10 of Swords and Hanged Man) made my day! Thanks for this amazing video! ✌️🤘
I’m an old rocker myself. And I also love Jack. You do know there is more than one ☝🏻 Jack in this Band? If you didn’t know that, you don’t know Jack. Joke??? Lol 😝 ♥️💋🌹
Yes! Yes! I hear it! You are SO RIGHT! I LOVE THIS SONG! And this is the absolute BEST version I've heard yet! Gotta love Jack White! A true musical genious!
Super good looking young musicians in old fashioned attractive outfits making thrilling and sensual music, they chose a wood and mirrors as a magical backdrop which enhances their weird and fascinating appearances. The eyes of Brendan and Jack are mesmerizing... The music is a dream. Greetings from Germany
I like the way the XII tarot forms @2:24. "Go deeper now and let go of your striving. True freedom and independence are found through surrender." - Card's message.
Wish I'd seen this video & comment 5 years ago. I was 52 then & for the most part grateful I have a Master's from the School of Hard Knocks. It almost broke me, but I dug deep & now live by "just when u think you've got it all figured out along comes something new to daze and amaze just don't let it faze ya", still don't have it ALL figured out though, but I'm certain cats r crazy smart, pinto beans with fat back or salt pork & corn bread will keep u full & happy & good music = a happy soul😜
I haven't watch this video before. Never knew that early in the video there's a chant in Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia. Great touch, and never thought The Raconteurs interested in that language.
How does Now That You're Gone strike you? I try to explain the BEAT is for the ladies...and the guitar rIffs at the end are WICKED.. But I don't think they understand. Lol
Great band! It's not all Jack. Brandon's great. The bass player and drummer (sorry I don't know their names) contributions are choice and stand out really adding to the song. Great band.
Brendon's role in the group stands out more as I continue to explore their material. His voice pair so well with Jack's. The bassist is Jack Lawrence. He seems quiet, or at least reserved, but his grooves work so well in this song. The drummer is Patrick Keeler , always keeping a steady but creative beat.
I wasn't aware of this song until I heard the version they made with Ashley Monroe and Ricky Skaggs. Then I went back and listened to the original. It's an apples-to-oranges comparison, and frankly I don't think it's worthwhile to say which version is "better". They are two different takes on an excellent song, and I love both. I'm glad that these four have a space to explore this kind of sound.
+Alondra Rosales same! Yr 8 for me was spent listening to the Raconteurs, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Muse and watching Firefly and BTVS- such good times XD
Happy to hear this before i leave this world & to see the vid else i'd be making one...Love that song...listen to it 34times during traffic jam...is it normal...
Ok, so I am a huge Jack fan, and all he has touched. I admit that I haven't obsessed over every video he has done, though. I am also a tarot reader. So as I am watching, and they slowly reveal the blindfolded woman, and her hands start to move across her corset, I sort of thought I knew what we were headed for, so-to-speak - and when the tarot card of the hanged man manifested itself before my eyes I literally gasped. I was really taken aback! I don't know how many mystical symbols (cont'd)
@@riabouma9317 I read that Brendan Benson was the primary songwriter, along with Jack White. If you haven't seen it check out this collaboration video of Old Enough. Totally different approach, but excellent in it's own right! ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=old+enough+raconteurs
This is bad ass. It brings the awesmoness of that show Peaky Blinders to mind. Feels ferocious in it's own genre.I know how I would react to it with another band, but right here with Jack White and these arrangemnets. I could easily give this song a #1 position on a list of a lot of other songs. This rocks!
Old Enough The Raconteurs You look pretty in your fancy dress But I detect unhappiness You never speak so I have to guess You're not free There, maybe when you're old enough You'll realize you're not so tough And some days the seas get rough And you'll see You're too young to have it figured out You think you know what you're talking about You think it will all work itself out But we'll see When I was young I thought I knew You probably think you know too Do you? This might be the most well-written song of the last 20 years. It's that good.
This song is so underrated, this is a masterpiece!
i concur
dont worry i dont underate it and I also play it live

Not really 😂. Not Bad but not great. What do you think about the last one ?

I've got this song on multi replay right now....I'm afraid I may burn it out. 😁 sounds so damn good.
I am a Hatter, and I have nothing but praise for these fine young men.
Why every song that Jack White touches turns to gold?
Midas touch

Again!!! Echoes of aJethro Tull, yes sir!!!

Jack's eyes hypnotize me. I love this man.
" how did you survive so far without showing any visonable scars "
GOOD GOOD STUFF
Based on a true inspiration out of Missouri back in 1860's.
Today it dawned on me. This was lifted from Living On A Thin Line by the Kinks (specifically, from Dave Davies). I knew these boys had good taste.
The only way you'll ever learn a thing is to admit you no absolutely nothing. Amazing line.
The G’s. babes in the woods. always the young that think they know everything.
Super good looking young musicians in old fashioned attractive outfits

I'd love to send this to my 18 y/o son to listen to but I'm sure he wouldn't understand that it's about him....
Jack - you are awesome, mysterious but in a good way, ya know?
Yeah he has mystique Eyes too. Ya know? This is such a great Song! ♥️🌹🍄
Great ! Simply great. Finally I am old enough to appreciate this type of music for all what it is transporting ! Please never stop
Love this tune and feel of this band, love the song, Jack White you are awesome!

A shame I can't like that a few more times.... that's a fine version of that song. Thanks Jack!
A perfect song off of their equally perfect album.
The bass player is for sure a Hanson Brother
Jack Lawrence is the bass player.
He is awesome
If this doesn't make you tap your toes, There is something seriously wrong with you!!! Fantastic song from start to finish!!!!
Wow! So much symbolism in this video.
I suddenly needed to listen to Brendan Benson. That voice strums some special strings for me.

Pure genius.

Just because the time stamp didnt work on this, ill just put it here if it lets me: 3:06
epic
This song will always remind me of you and the beginning of us. I'll love you always. I miss you Lee 💔
I've been inspired to get my mandolin out! Jack holds it weirdly!!!

This song reminds me a good time in the school... back in 2010 is my favorite song, i have the lp of this album, its a beatiful work, for sure!
That was fantastic.
I'm envious.
I was at the yard house the other day and this was on! After my second beer
Awesome Band
Lot of love for Jack already here so i'm gonna spread some to Brendan Benson! Super chill guy and love his music!

I'm 41yrs old and this comment makes my heart warm! Music is the soul to the universe, keep searching it gets deeper!
those are some cool kats right there :)
Awesome thanks from Holland
Holy cow! This is the first time I've heard this version. WAY better than the acoustic one with the woman singing. This rocks!
Soooooo you think that they are electric in the forest
so love this
0:0 - 0:15 I heard indonesian language "Ekspresi wajah penuh ketakjuban akan mukjizat..."
Has there ever been a more incredible mix of blues grass and nasty hard rock? I think not…
Very good
This Sound has a little bit of Jethro Tull.....a little bit. Very special but very good. Thänx from good old germany.
amazing.
Они великолепны
Happy to hear this before i leave this world & to see the vid else i'd be making one...Love that song...listen to it 34times during traffic jam...is it normal...
It's funky how the video only shows flashes o White, but you know the whole video is about him
So friggin catchy!
love this incredible band....
nah I can't stop watching this
Legendary
I've been here since the beginning. I do as I please. That will never change. I'm the Warden.

The mind is a prison
Beyond good.
Rad song! Love the live version too!
Love this song! I also like the version they did with Ricky Skaggs and Ashley Monroe. I love how a great song can handle multiple arrangements......
That's the first version I heard of this song... which makes this one sound like an epic cover to my ear! 😂 ruclips.net/video/1qahZ-whM6o/видео.html

Thanks guys !
I’m a buckeye fan of lil Jack Lawrence ✌️
"Mengingatkan kita agar merenungkan kehidupan" - this a deep ❤️
Baru tau awalnya ada yang seperti berdoa dalam bahasa indonesia
I am astounded by the occult symbolism in this video. It’s like Kubrick came back from the dead to do this one last little project.
Gracias por publicr tremendo videooooooooooo
They finally got this back
I'll be singing this to my daughter for a lullaby... Just a bit less rockin' though ;) :D Wicked... I LOVE The Raconteurs.
I'm in love :)
Thank You : )
ELA SABE DEMAIS!
Old Enough
The Raconteurs
You look pretty in your fancy dress
But I detect unhappiness
You never speak so I have to guess
You're not free
There, maybe when you're old enough
You'll realize you're not so tough
And some days the seas get rough
And you'll see
You're too young to have it figured out
You think you know what you're talking about
You think it will all work itself out
But we'll see
When I was young I thought I knew
You probably think you know too
Do you? Well do you?
I was naive just like you
I thought I knew exactly what I wanted to do
Well, what's you gonna do?
And how have you gotten by so far
Without having a visible scar?
No one knows who you really are
They can't see
What's you gonna do (what's you gonna do)
What's you gonna do now
What's you gonna do (what's you gonna do)
What's you gonna do now
What's you gonna do (what's you gonna do)
What's you gonna do now
What's you gonna do (what's you gonna do)
What's you gonna do now
What's you gonna do now
The only way you'll ever learn a thing
Is to admit that you know absolutely nothing
Oh nothing
Think about this carefully
You might not get another chance to speak freely
Oh freely
Maybe when you're old enough
Maybe when you're old enough
Maybe when you're old enough
You're not free
You're not free
Geniaal
I'm more of a music guy by nature but these lyrics are killer.
wow
