18 years old, silverado v6 4x4 bald tires in the middle of an ice storm, went in the ditch 3 times 2nd time was on the highway went to pass a semi, low grip + wind coming off the front of the truck pushed me 8nto the ditch and my floor boards were on the ground in mud, if it hadn't rained a few days before I would've got out but I needed to get pulled.

Ive seen a stock 2015 6.7 ram pull out a stuck freightliner dump truck (loaded) ive also seen a stock 1995 7.3 do the same thing with the same truck but the dodge did it in the gravel and didnt slip up once and the ford did it in the mud and was hitting the pedal hard! Still have yet to see a duramax doing the dirty work with my own 2 eyes but from what ive seen before the trick to pulling out a stuck vehicle is being strategic about it

I’m a Chevy guy but I hate when people are like “my Chevy is so good it saved a stuck Ford” I guarantee if the duramax was stock suspension with street tires it would also get stuck, has nothing to do with the company that made the truck. It’s all about the gears, diff, and tires and if it has lift

Use an old tire as a cushion when you need to yank them real hard. Chain threw tire to truck than tow strap from other end of tire to other truck. It will add nice cushion to the jerking!

I think that yard mud is the thickest mud that cloggs up any mt tire, my f350 has 35x12.5x18 mt tires and when I’m moving trailers around my yard I made a mistake to go around my barn and I was able to stay in 2wd but spun some tire and when I pulled out made some deep ruts and my tires where clogged as hell only came out when I went down the road for about 200 feet of just thick mud flying out and staining the road haha good job
