@Beautiful2Life1 I am not sure what you mean, I added the exact number of times it gets sealed in the top left corner :O In my experience the head becomes lighter in color only if the environment where the sealant dries on the resin is not good (maybe too humid or too cold).
@DPlover1 I do all flesh tones with my airbrush :O peaches, oranges, pinks it very much depends what kind of resin I am working on because the colours will look different based on the original resin.
I internally celebrate when I get my colored pencils that sharp. And then my friends look at my weird, like "Is it safe to give her something that sharp?"
No I do not use any magnification device. My hand wasnt as steady when I started working on faceups there is a huge difference compared to a couple of years ago :) I graduated as a multimedia designer so most of the time I work digitally.
I wish I could do this... I would so make a custom doll of myself. I've been interested in your stuff for a while now, and I realized that I don't have enough money to buy a doll. Luckily I'm fine with just watching you create these magnificent masterpieces. I'm an artist as well, although this isn't the kind of art I do. I focus more on animation and drawing in general.
12 coats of sealant!!! Before seeing this tutorial, I didn't get it who you need to seal a face-up so many time, now I do. I will practice what I learned today in my next face-up. Thank you!!!
I love your work! You're amazing, it seems so easy in your videos... but it isn't!! I hope you soon have a freckles commision, I can't wait to see it! Thanks for sharing this
Do you use any kind of magnification device when you're working? And you have such a steady hand (or maybe it's just the time-lapse makes it appear that way)...were/are you a "traditional" artist? Thank you! :)
Amazing as always, Andreja. I wonder how many times you sealed him? Because sometimes the head can be whiter than the rest of the body. I'm worried to seal my dark skin dolls too many times.
how do u do all these dolls. do u make them yr self? i love how u colour the lips. i would love to learn how to make dolls like these. could u make a video of u putting the dolls together, that would be cool to see. :D
I have a problem trying to find dark skinned dolls. Parabox sells Obitsu dolls for about 1500 yen (that's like 19 USD). But none of them are dark skinned. Is there a place I can reasonably afford a dark skinned doll? If not, how can I alter the doll's skin? I hear dying works well for the "Soft" parts of the doll, but not as well and as evenly as on the plastic parts. Spraying the doll can leave it feeling sticky, or can chip the paint over time.
@fhilippa1 - she doesn't make the dolls themselves, those you have to buy from one of many companies who sell BJD. @NicollesDreams - so you don't do anything different for a boy's face-up than for a girls? :(
Wow looks so real I really would like an elf doll like that. You know what dark elves look like right? They have blue skin or darker blue skin with varieties of colors for their eyes like blood shot red to emerald green, and even snowy white. I'm just saying I want a doll made with this head with long wavy auburn hair and the same look from this video with the same colored base body designed to look like a 14 year old girl to display in my room for a one and only dark elf collective.
I do not create the dolls, I am only a customiser. I wrote a F.A.Q. that should answer your questions andreja.deviantartDOTcom/art/Doll-FAQ-303415340 (remove the DOT part with an actual . )

The name of the sculpt is written at the very start of each video.
I'm so excited that you did a Soom tiny!!
Because adding the eyes is not part of the faceup process. You can find plenty of other videos and tutorials showing how to add them :)
You are so so so talented!! I randomly just came across your videos today! Keep up the amazing and unique work! You're a wonderful artist! :) :)

@fhilippa1 - she doesn't make the dolls themselves, those you have to buy from one of many companies who sell BJD.
@NicollesDreams - so you don't do anything different for a boy's face-up than for a girls? :(
If you check my channel you will find the video where I show that part specifically :)
