Lloyd, first let me say I always enjoy your reviews and I find you to be open and honest with your reviews as much as one person can be as we all have our biases. When I saw you were reviewing this shotgun I couldn't wait to watch it. I shot a semi for a long time and really wanted to give a Browning a try. They are good quality shotguns, look great in my opinion, and are very fairly priced. They may in fact be the best or at least one of the best quality O/U shotguns for the money today. BUT.....I bought one, not this exact model, but very similar and my results were exactly the same as yours. It was beautiful, i couldn't shoot it worth a darn, and after a few sessions my cheek was bruised and it even had me developing a flinch. Thanks for the enjoyable review, Sir.
I have the Browning 725 Trap with adjustable comb and high rib and I shoot very well with it. It is heavy but for some reason I have had great luck with it right off the bat...
I have a 2003 Ultra XTR which is just brilliant. They don't make then anymore exactly as per mine as they dropped the silicone comb insert. I love my Ultra XTR and as a dedicated DTL shooter it does really well for me. The muzzle heavy bit comes back to a comment I have made many times. For DTL and similar you simply do not need a 32" barrel. Mine is 30" and feels neutral, swings well and is very much under my control. Good video though Lloyd. BTW Lloyd you may remember me asking you some months ago to get your hands on a Beretta UGB25 trap. Well I jumped in and bought one a few weeks ago. Got it for just €1800 and it's unused. Love it to bits and last weekend got a full house here in France. It's a strange beast and something of a contraption, but beautifully made and shoots so sweetly.
@@lloydyp Hi Lloyd, yes I still have it and love it. I also just bought a new Browning XS Pro sporting and love that even more. What a piece. The UGB is great fun to use for the last couple of sets after a serious afternoon's shooting with the Browning. It is heavy and a lot of fun. I can see why it failed at the box office but for me it's a winner. I always get an audience when using it and have had offers to buy it for much more than I paid. There is a general feeling that they jam and don't cycle the shells properly but I have had never had an issue in over a year of use. How are you getting on with your Perazzi?
Bought one recently! But with fixed trap chokes which makes me believe it is an older version. High end shotgun but as it is my first gun with high profile action, i still haven’t manage to get the hand of it
Great honest review ....like the expression on your face while shooting....i am sure Browning people won't like it as you have already predict but thats life..... they can always make some adgustments if they want to the gun.
Good honest review. However, correctly set up and balanced to your liking it would have been a different experience. Try the XS Sporter if you can buddy
Another honest review as always.I own the Ultra xs prestige 30 Inch barrels and I'm very very pleased with it, in fact i wouldn't give it away! Could you do a review on the xs prestige? I would love to know your opinion on it. I recently bought a Blaser f16 and i am now about to buy a 725 pro sport
@@lloydyp i bet they are! Haha :) What about 725 pro sport? I saw your review,is it worth buying one? Bu the way i also own a 525 gr3 exhibition, a miroku mk 10 gr1, a winchester 101 xtr, a winchester super grade and a few airguns :) I used to have a 725 sporterII but i didn't like it. It felt a bit weird compared to the 725 citori which I shot a few times and loved it
Thinking of changing my Silver Pigeon for an older Ultra XS as the Pigeon is Slapping me and loosing confidence what you think, as usual great review but frightened me a bit
Just got one of these 32" the best gun I have shot for a long time for sporting 3/8's both barrels (balance bang on the hinge and no weights in the stock), Sellier & bellot super trap 7's fantastic combination. I think your left arm is to much extended , you are not doing this gun justice. just saying 😄😄

I own an Ultra XS Pro.
Hi loyd .have you tried the ultra XT Pro yet. Thanks for getting back last week.
I am pretty sure I have, have I not published a review?

Yeah I still want to look at the XS. I think it will be a corker. I will see if I can get my hands on one if Browning are still talking to me :)

You hold the gun at the very end of the fore end a slow way for gun movement, good video.
Holding out there gives me control, holding near the CG might be fast but speed is nothing without control.
Yes to straight limited

Frightened you?
Did you pattern that XT? I'm willing to bet it shoots way higher than you think it does. You seem to shoot flat shooters for sporting.
