It was amazing. I’m heading out again this season to go north to south, that is if it actually opens. Mother Nature is not letting us out there that easily👍😎

That fuel tank has been there a long time. It was there when I had the privilege of travelling the CSR in 2011. Great series..thank you, it brings back fond memories 🍺

Great Video Guys. It must be heartbreaking to abandon your vehicle and end your trip in the middle of the outback.

I agree mate, it would be very difficult and I certainly feel for those that have lived through it

That banner is a tad misleading. I was expecting to see your vehicle in a bit of trouble and eager to see how you coped. I continue to enjoy your work!

All good mate. The minute you feel misaligned with the channel it’s time to bail out. Enjoy your own journey and go well. Cheers👍😎

7:50 in and that sky is freaking me out. I observed that once in 2009 up in the Gulf Country and it was so unsettling. It really cut down on the light in patches in a way that just triggered something primal in my brain. Maybe because of the cow hide pattern or something.

Nice mate, I don't comment on all as sometimes I watch on TV. Cheers Steve

WoW! Some of that carnage just makes me wonder how bad things must have actually got, to leave something? I can't imagine leaving a trailer behind, let alone a whole vehicle (but it was a Mitzi & I can certainly understand leaving a Jeep!! 🤣) Honestly though, I bet a lot of us would have worked something out to continue on but I spose the lack of knowledge these days & the poor care factor with things being insured, maybe it's easier just to walk away?? Not something I could do though. As for this weeks instalment, it was another great episode from you guys of course! Thanks once again for sharing! Cheers Guys!!

Cost of recovery was too high to get the vehicle. The insurance company wrote it off after viewing photos.

Thanks Terry and Jill, some sensational footage. Are you using the GoPro for those night shots ?

Thanks Daryl, that’s kind of you to say mate. I use a Sony DSLR for the night shots. It takes a photo every 10 seconds or so and I stitch them together to form the time lapse. Cheers👍😎

Hi Jill and Terry, your trip of the Canning is so informative. For filming with a go pro on a vehicle what the best way to go north to south or
south to north it seems. whatever way you go filming is going to be a problem with the sun. Love the footage of gravity lake.
    Keep having fun you two.
    Regards Col.

Thanks Col, I’m glad you have found some value in spending time with us. Definitely north to south is better from vehicle mounted footage, the sun is over your shoulder most of the time and you don’t get that glare that we have had to contend with. Gravity lake was amazing, so glad it had water in it when we were there. Cheers👍😎
