Unfortunately, as a Westerner, you may not be able to hear it, but as an Asian, you can clearly tell that it is Chinese music. From the style of music to the musical instruments (Chinese guzheng and bamboo flute, although Japan also has the same instruments, but the playing styles are very different), it is all Chinese-style music, and Japanese classical music is a completely different style.
I am Indian and i am familiar with both Chinese and Japanese so I can tell difference but most common people won't be able to notice difference ❤ Instrument were guizheng,dizi
I can tell as a German, because l am listening to Chinese traditional instruments, and songs daily, and love the Zi De quqin Studio channel. There you can hear many similar pieces. Good day.
