I've heard others say this was suppose to be switched over to Iran Air but the deal fell apart. I don't know otherwise..

at first they said the plane configuration wasn't adequate to IranAir's needs. Then finally IranAir accepted but the plane wasn't available anymore. So i guess Turkish decided to pursue their acquisition.
