Please upvote this, For those wondering why your having "Server not responding" or "LAN only". The solution is changing your ISP from CGNAT to a static IP. My ISP did it within hours for me. Now its saying available in the manager. Hope this helps

@@Rizers100As far as i understand, Hamachi requires you to have a Static IP to start with for it to work and i was never able to get it to work, hence contacting my ISP.
@@johndoe_509 Contact your ISP and they can tell you if you have CGNAT or you can request a static IP.

@@ZaramuxTheGamingDad so I am currently adding mods but they won't download. I have the mod details page up but all the mod types say not downloaded. Any idea? The folder sizes are at 0 as well. I even went into steam by clicking the mod I.D. and subscribed to the mods but they won't download either. Could this be because I don't have ARK survival bought through steam? I have it through the Xbox store instead.

I definitely need something like this because I just wish to play modded Ark with a single friend, no big servers or anything so I don't want to have to pay a monthly fee for what's essentially just coop singleplayer!

I can't add the IP to the steam server favorites. One time it's there one time It isn't. When my friend tries to add it to his favs it doesn't even pop up. It just says the IP with the not responding next to it. All of this happening while the server is running also.

I had the same issue. I just saved my settings and reopened the server manager.
When I try to click the check mark to verify if everything is there, it tells me error shootergame.exe and all my mods are not downloaded.

Sometimes it doesn't recognize it in the first launch, you may have to back out up and stop the server then lunch once or twice more. Also in the server search on your game make sure there aren't any filters selected

edit: when you enter the ip on steam it says server not responding but people on LAN connect just fine
I'm guessing if you have forwarded the ports on your computer, you might have to forward them on your router as well. I'm having the same issue but am unable to access my routers settings to check if its the case.

Hey im getting an error saying invalid authentication token.
I have the epic version of this game and there’s literally nothing on RUclips or anywhere saying how to manage a server
so no idea if you will respond but is there a way to use this method to set up a cluster? me and a friend just want to play together alone with our own rates but dont want to be limited to one map
I'm not sure of a way to do a cluster, Typically i just created a new server for a new map, but i only ran one at a time depending on what we felt like.
For some reaon mine isn't working it says failed server update and mods where not possessed even tho I'm not using any mods

Please note, this is for the Steam Version of Ark. It will not work with the Epic version of the game unless you put -crossplay in the server args.

@@MXG_X there would be a typeable field called server args, that is where you want to type the -crossplay, as long as you have that in, and no mods loaded it should work

I want a vanilla server without mods and when I install server I got an error about mods even though I don t have any
Odd that it'll give that error message without mods, if the server has a mods folder in it maybe try deleting it? Not really sure though I haven't seen this
In the process of booting it up now! I have 30 mods on it.... hopefully it goes well. this is just a server for me and a few friends to play. I'll have them go through mods then if they don't want some xd

hi, I had a question when port forwarding do you port forward the server port or the query port, and which port do they use to join the server.
The Query port is the one you need to use for the other people to joinz

I don't believe it can be done via the Microsoft version. I think you can install the server by installing stream even with out Ark but I'm afraid even still you wouldn't be able to connect to it

Yes so long as you have cross play enabled on the server and use no mods

if you play on the same pc hosting the server is it gonna still have the same effect as hosting a singleplayer world? (in other words lag)
Didn't notice much lag, but I think that's going to vary on the system, I would for sure not do it with less than 16gb of memory

Guys, i really need help, so basically i already made my dedicated server using steamCMD but for some reason after i shutdown my dedicated and leave it for some time, when i turn it on again, i will just spawned under the map(it doesn't happen if i just restarted the server, for some reason it will only happen if i leave it off for some time) Anyone have any solutions? I tried looking EVERYWHERE but there is no solutions and most of them are from 2015-2016.
Hello, i got server running with mods and all kinds of stuff but when i get building i a cave of doesn't alle me to build in there can i enable it some where ?
It's under rules in the middle at top , a box should say "Enable PVE Cave Building"

I’ve been trying to do this and it’s not working for me, I get stuck on the step at 13:56 as nothing loads past PID on the black screen

Are you on epic? The only way to really search is by name, but it only lists a certain amount so you would want to have a pretty rare name

Everytime you start the server does it load that black screen command prompt an when i close it it has to start over initializing it says everytime.

Is this outdated? I son't see any option when launching the game for "LAN" server filter. Also don't see anywhere in steam to view server list. The ASM has also been stuck on "Waiting for publication" for ~10 minutes now
Try stopping the server and restarting it
When I try to install the server it opens a second window called "steamcmd.exe" and does not actually continue the download. Any suggestions on how I could fix this?
In the second window it is also saying that steam is "Verifying Installation" but the percentage wont change

I assume then you have all the ports forwarded with your router? Other than that I'm not really sure, but you may want to check out the ark server Manager forums
I have not really fast internet, its like 20mps bandwidht with 4/6 upload rate, is it enough to play with 4 player?

So my server is up running and i can join but when i join my mods and rates wich i changed are not changed and are still on the basic settings
Back it up, end it and restart it, should be fixed

I followed all of the steps in your video and it shows up in lan for me but when my friend types the server name or puts the ip in the servers tab like you did it wont show up for him do you know what is wrong with it

First time running the server? If so stop it and start it back up, has done the trick for me before

It seems ASM is hit or miss, it works for a lot, but doesn't work for others. In your router did you already forward the ports as well?
why i cant find my server in ark. It says "no session find". The server is on and I can't find it by name or on `Lan`. Can somebody help me?

It may be because you have an ad blocker on or something that the website thinks is an ad blocker.

I think it's going to vary depending on internet speed, for me i think it took about 20-30 mins.

Unless they changed something sadly no.. Epic version won't connect if the server has mods

Hey, so when installing the arkserver manager it says authorizing steam and its stuck that way.
What if you (the server host) can join, but your friends can't?
Have you forwarded the ports in your router and disabled any firewall on that machine?
Is there a way to get around the port forwarding and use Hamachi? My router does not let me do PF sadly.

i have a problem where im trying to join my friend, he made the server but when i use the ip and quarry of the server it says server not responding ( while he is in the server himself)
Could be a firewall setting, they may have to open ports, check firewalls etc..

ps we all live in separate countries if thats the matter as the server for me only shows up in LAN and not in favorites
If you haven't already, you'll want to forward the ports in your router, also may have to disable or at least whitelist it with Windows firewall

Would you happen to know what to do if the server says it’s still initializing once it says the server has already started and has its number of cores? It’s making the server stay in unavailable.
Does this allow anyone to discover the server in the server lists ? or can it only been seen and joined via ip and ports ?
So long as your ports are open they can see it in the server list under unofficial servers

Have you enable port forwarding in your router? Also if you have windows firewall you may need to allow access
@@ZaramuxTheGamingDad First of all, thx for respond. Yes, I set port forwarding in router, and add allow access in Windows firewall and ESET firewall. Tried also turn off both firewalls. Still I can see my server in LAN (on IP of the PC) and can join it. But the IP from ARK SM (this one, which world can see) in steam servers did not respond. I am so hopeless..
@@Gomezaq ok the only other thing I can think of, is some times it did not work on the first launch. I would have to launch the server, end the server and relaunch the server before ark would register it
@@ZaramuxTheGamingDad Tried it now. Again nothing. But I think, that it is blocked from ISP. I call to support and that is it. My ISP has blocked it. I have to pay for public IP in order to make ARK server visible. Grrr...But 10qs for a help, I appreciate it! Thumb up to You.

Sounds like a connection issue, Check firewall and router settings

That can vary depending on your router, I would suggest looking up port forwarding specific to your router.
Hey, I have a quick question, i have the epic games version, and my friend has the steam version, I turned on the crossplay feature but I can't figure how to join my own server since I have the epic games version.
For the epic version I believe I had to use a semi unique name because I could only search by name, also not all servers will show , there is a limit it'll find so having that unique server name was important
