Nice footage with the opportunity for us punters to see how the different wheelbases and solid axle setups handle the varied scenarios. Question.? Given your local terrain looks like mostly gnarly ascents and descents with lots of off cambers and rock steps. 1. What DOT legal tyre make/model and size performs best? 2. Assuming beadlocks, what pressures proved best for an average 2.5 tonne fourby? 3. Does your opinion change from wet to dry? Thanks in advance CB
only my personal opinion: 1. I like KM2 for overall touring but also Nitto Mud or Trail Grappler it's really a personal choice 2. Depends on your truck, tyre size and weight distribution Tiny is now on 10 PSI with bead locks and 37" 3. For me not
Thanks for that. How much does your Landy Ute weigh for your day trips? Reason for the tyre question is I'm considering a set of 37"s Mickey T Newer TTC Claws + Beadlocks for my play option on my GU (running 35" Mickey ATZ P3 for touring). Major reason is they reportedly have a semi soft compound are diectional biters etc with main purpose rock climbing ability. However your mate in the TJ Jeep despite his beautiful long arm set up and low pressures seems to be struggling often on the rocks/scree? Do you guys think the TTC Claws even match your KM2's in this area as their on road manners will be a wasted sacrifice if they don't stick on the climbs? Cheers CB
yes I see where you coming from but I think dave just had too high pressure on the trip (12psi), I mention that to him towards the end and after going a bit lower he was allright. I only have the KM2 because i can't get much else for 37/17 unless I spend big. Thought about Treps but not sure how the soft compound does on the road...
Nice trail!! Great video work!!
Gee how nice is the tray on the hilux, always enjoy your videos keep em comming. ☺️

I understand it takes a lot of time to make the videos. I hope you still occasionally make a video. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
