I like Sin Eating as a narrative concept, but my god is it brain scrambling as a real world concept. A Sin Eater purposefully eats the sins of the dead, so the dead can crossover cleansed from said sin. So the Sin Eater is a savior, in a sense. However, like a very, very shonen protagonist twist, they are shunned by others because of all the sin they now carry. What kind of martyr chooses that life, for such a silly concept as Sin Eating? Okay, that's not fair, it's silly to me because it's not my culture, but maybe it's not silly to those who observe(d) it. However, one has to ask (I am one), why can't they just let the sin go into the food and not eat it? Why not let the sin go into maybe even a different object, some kind of stone maybe, or really anything, as any random object could have been chosen to become a culturally relevant object, could have been a container of some kind to "seal" the sin away. What would be the purpose of having a person eat it, and socially have to carry the burden of sin that isn't theirs. Like, let the sin die with the sinner, why ruin who knows however many people's lives so sin can be perpetually carried. Does a Sin Eater get to have those sins carried by a different Sin Eater? Like, how perpetually worse would people be seen based on that? Do they have to wear some kind of tattoo of shame Marking how many sins they carry? If this was a shonen series, the more sins you carry the more power you have probably, at the cost of people shunning you more and more as the sin counter goes higher. Anyway, idk. Feels incredibly bizarre, but I guess at least it isn't human sacrifice.
As someone with bipolar his initial behavior during his awakening reminded me of my manic episodes. Like pure, deranged joy and recklessness. Feeling omnipotent. Except Luffy does have God-like powers in that form, so it's dangerous indeed, to some extent. I guess his biggest hurdle right now is not losing himself in that mania when it comes down to it.

I think tekking forgot two scenes of One Piece, when Roger invite's Raleigh he says if Rayleigh wants to turn the world upside down with him, so I believe that Roger already had some kind of idea. The other scene, was when Raleigh asked the Straw Hats if they wanted to know and Luffy told Usopp if Raleigh told them, he would stop the adventure because he wanted to be free to discover and live the adventures without knowing anything before.
I always did find it a bit odd that Chopper's human form still looks bestial, cuz you don't see this with other Zoan users. When Pell transforms into a Falcon, he becomes an actual falcom, with feathers and wings and all that stuff, he doesn't become a naked falcon without feathers, he gains feathers. But Chopper's human form is supposed to be the same transformation, and yet, he retains his fur and bestial features in his human form. Now I know this can be summed up as just Oda's decision to make Chopper unique, but I kinda find it wierd that his human form doesn't look like an actual fur-less human.
Surely it isn't because every other Zoan user (barring inanimate objects like Funkfreed) has been a human that ate the fruit and not an animal that ate the fruit? Chopper looks less human than other Zoans because he never was a human. Just like other Zoan fruits make humans look more like animals, Chopper's fruit makes him look more like a human.
It's not "his human form". It's "the most human form" among the many intermediate forms he has used. He could probably turn into an actual human and go undetected in a crowd, but he probably never thought to push it that far, because he was going, each time, for speed, strength, protection, jumping skill, etc...
Just look to Chopper's character and thematic ties. It may be a mythical zoan type but I'd rather Chopper's science being what unlocked his genetic potential with the rumble balls with another level of awakening, could have a moment there with Vegapunk.

Recently i got the idea that luffys dream might connect to his desire of freedom. So maybe its something similar to "i want a world where everyone is equally free and nobody is being forced by the tyranny of others." That would also perfectly fit the theme of basically every arc. and with every opponent he defeats, he gets closer to his dream.

Luffy isn't exactly the kind of person who seems to focus on fate, more on dreams. He is determined to be the pirate king, but he knows that there is a possibility of him dying and that is fine with him. Personally, I am of the belief that prophecies, fate, and such are things that are determined by human will and human choice. If a prophecy ends up being fulfilled, then it is more because of the choices and decisions that the characters make rather than the prophecy itself being self-fulfilling. I recall one work of fiction where it is noted that the prophecy only became valid because the antagonist believed it throughout the course of the plot and his choices set it in motion. The main character fought him out of choice because he was not willing to turn his back on the people who would die as a result of the antagonist's decisions. Ultimately while there are certain things that one cannot control, their fate will be to some extent in their own hands in some way.

My take on prophecy is that it is one possibility of what could happen but is not set in stone. I have seen people saying that if there is a prophecy in this anime then there is no point in watching since Luffy will fulfill it even if he stands on his head with his thumbs up his butt. The idea seems to be that prophecy is guaranteed to happen regardless of anything else the moment it is made. I disagree, I have seen prophecies fulfilled in many ways and subverted in just as many ways. In the example I mentioned, the antagonist heard the prophecy and moved to subvert it. In doing so he set it in motion since he could have avoided it by waiting and learning more and then acting when he was in a better position. Even when choosing to act on the prophecy he had a decision regarding who his enemy would be. He ironically chose the person like himself rather than the one who fits the narrow worldview of himself and his followers as the only people in the world worth knowing or being. Until he chose to act on it, the prophecy was merely a possibility, and no one compelled him to act on it. He moved forward in haste, an act that in later years he would regard as a mistake. The future is not set in stone, only the past is locked in place.

Im actually here to answer the most important question of this video : My personal preference is to wear a long sleeve neutral shirt under a short sleeve shirt with a clashing color and a cool print on it. That way you have a cool shirt you can wear with short sleeves if you get hot, and still get the comfort of long sleeves hugging your arms.
tekking, it takes no energy for luffy to go into gear fifth or stay in it. it's a zoan transformation. he can live in gear 5th if he wants. it's the extra abilities that take energy.
This has to be the case, Because his limit became Haki based with gear 4th, so it's a combination of the new abilities as well as the massive amount of haki use involved in those new abilities.

Blackbeard already has what might be the most powerful Logia and what is confirmed to be one of the most powerful Paramecias. I know the common theory is that he'll have all 3 types, but if they gave him a copy of Luffy's fruit that would be ridiculous. Not to mention that's going under the assumption that a copy of Luffy's DF gets made (if it even can), that Blackbeard gets ahold of it (why would he when he's all the way by Amazon Lily), and that it doesn't kill him. Since we don't know how BB acquires the DFs we have no idea if it is even able to be done with a SMILE fruit.

honestly it's just nice to see that the theories come out coming with more fact that speculation as now the general fans know luffys dream is much bigger than thought of the red line coming down will be a huge scene with many things shifting. I definitely feel that the "JoyBoy Prophecy" will essentially be working very much with Luffy's "True Dream". If we're going with the theory of Luffy's True Dream being "Throwing the Biggest Party where Everyone in the World can Eat and Party as much as they want", and with the Ancient Kingdom that Joy Boy was a part of going against what the World Government and the Celestial Dragons came from, I have an idea that to accomplish Luffy's True Dream, they'll have to assist the Revolutionaries in taking down the Celestial Dragons. So in chapter 1042 Kaido beat Luffy by slamming his club in to Luffy’s chest. Then in 1043 Luffy’s heart started to beat with the drums of liberation. So it was always my head cannon that when Kaido struck Luffy it offset his heart beat so that it was in time with the drums.

ok so odd thought but i do think luffy's dream is to unite the marines and the pirates. This is because Luffy Wants to be openly friendly with Garp to the world. A similar situation that roger probably had with Garp. Becoming king of the pirate would only be a stepping stone of this. if he is the strongest pirate and with Garo a hero of the marines it could lead towards uniting the marines and pirates.
an other Idea for that Luffy & Roger cross over movie /OVA that would (probably) not break the time travel rule set by Toki. Iinstead of Luffy going back in time through a fruit or something to meet up with Roger, that movie/OVA could send Roger(or an avatar of him) into the future with a time limit attached to it (like at the end roger would just think it was a neat dream)

I think Rodger didn't find out about the prophesy until the end, and was really just going on his journey because of a feeling in his gut (will of D) that this was something he needed to do. Kind of like how Oden got this weird feeling when he made a brief stop at Wano during his trip with Rodger, and that weird feeling was telling him to get what he needed, and then hurry out of there as fast as possible. Somehow he knew that if he stayed longer, he'd never leave again, and he still had more he needed to accomplish before he returned to Wano for good. My guess is Rodger only fully understood the true nature of the prophesy when he got to Laughtale, and that's what caused him to laugh, while also regretting that he wasn't born in Joyboy's time. He knew his own journey would be important in the days to come, and he was genuinely happy about that. At the same time though, he was like "Dammit! I wish I could be there to see all the excitement that the next Joyboy will get up to. That's gonna be one hell of an adventure that'll turn the world on its head!"
I think oden’s version of freedom was getting off wano and exploring the world which he did and afterwards he came back to wano a changed man and mature enough to lead a nation. I think the “rude freedom” you were referring to displayed by oden and luffy is more so just a part of their rude personality, which could be a byproduct of their version of freedom.
***MY TAKE ON GEAR 5TH'S ACTIVATION*** One thing I could say about the activation of gear 5th, to restart a heart it takes an electric pulse or something like a shock from a defibrillator. Also it's not the circulatory system in the body that is involved in the restarting of a heart, it's the nervous system that has to send the signal to the heart to get it started. The nervous system controls all other parts and systems of the body. It had to take legendary levels of will power for Luffy to be virtually dead, and then send a major spark throughout his body and restart his heart. I think because of this, and because of a lore standpoint, where Luffy uses different body systems for each of his gears, gear 5th taps into Luffy's nervous system. Fun fact, adrenaline rushes effect the heart, but they're actually a chemically induced nerve stimulation that keeps body in a broad state of awareness. Nerves again, and the complete "freedom," he gets is actually from his awareness taking a significant rise, even Kaido said this when he first awakened. Boosted awareness is an achievement of the mind, and what body system uses your mind??? The nervous system of course, and since the nervous system controls the body it would also explain why Luffy can use his devil fruit to significantly change his form way beyond the limits of gear 4th. Gear 5th clearly is the combination of all his gears, the blood with gear 2nd, bones with gear 3rd, and muscels with gear 4th. In gear 5th Luffy taps into his nervous system and controls them all and thus, he becomes "more free."
That sounds about right I feel Roger was the type of person who just always put everything in just living in the moment being free and knowing that whatever happens at the end of the day he accomplished what he wanted and wants others to succeed him to go beyond to change things for the future so everyone is free to follow their dreams and not worry about the government stopping them

I always did find it a bit odd that Chopper's human form still looks bestial, cuz you don't see this with other Zoan users. When Pell transforms into a Falcon, he becomes an actual falcom, with feathers and wings and all that stuff, he doesn't become a naked falcon without feathers, he gains feathers. But Chopper's human form is supposed to be the same transformation, and yet, he retains his fur and bestial features in his human form.
Now I know this can be summed up as just Oda's decision to make Chopper unique, but I kinda find it wierd that his human form doesn't look like an actual fur-less human.
Headcanon that the forms are affected by the psychology of the user. Chopper sees himself as more reindeer than human, so he's more bestial.
Surely it isn't because every other Zoan user (barring inanimate objects like Funkfreed) has been a human that ate the fruit and not an animal that ate the fruit? Chopper looks less human than other Zoans because he never was a human. Just like other Zoan fruits make humans look more like animals, Chopper's fruit makes him look more like a human.
It's not "his human form".
It's "the most human form" among the many intermediate forms he has used.
He could probably turn into an actual human and go undetected in a crowd, but he probably never thought to push it that far, because he was going, each time, for speed, strength, protection, jumping skill, etc...
Just look to Chopper's character and thematic ties. It may be a mythical zoan type but I'd rather Chopper's science being what unlocked his genetic potential with the rumble balls with another level of awakening, could have a moment there with Vegapunk.

Recently i got the idea that luffys dream might connect to his desire of freedom. So maybe its something similar to "i want a world where everyone is equally free and nobody is being forced by the tyranny of others." That would also perfectly fit the theme of basically every arc. and with every opponent he defeats, he gets closer to his dream.

Luffy isn't exactly the kind of person who seems to focus on fate, more on dreams. He is determined to be the pirate king, but he knows that there is a possibility of him dying and that is fine with him. Personally, I am of the belief that prophecies, fate, and such are things that are determined by human will and human choice. If a prophecy ends up being fulfilled, then it is more because of the choices and decisions that the characters make rather than the prophecy itself being self-fulfilling. I recall one work of fiction where it is noted that the prophecy only became valid because the antagonist believed it throughout the course of the plot and his choices set it in motion. The main character fought him out of choice because he was not willing to turn his back on the people who would die as a result of the antagonist's decisions. Ultimately while there are certain things that one cannot control, their fate will be to some extent in their own hands in some way.

My take on prophecy is that it is one possibility of what could happen but is not set in stone. I have seen people saying that if there is a prophecy in this anime then there is no point in watching since Luffy will fulfill it even if he stands on his head with his thumbs up his butt. The idea seems to be that prophecy is guaranteed to happen regardless of anything else the moment it is made. I disagree, I have seen prophecies fulfilled in many ways and subverted in just as many ways.
In the example I mentioned, the antagonist heard the prophecy and moved to subvert it. In doing so he set it in motion since he could have avoided it by waiting and learning more and then acting when he was in a better position. Even when choosing to act on the prophecy he had a decision regarding who his enemy would be. He ironically chose the person like himself rather than the one who fits the narrow worldview of himself and his followers as the only people in the world worth knowing or being. Until he chose to act on it, the prophecy was merely a possibility, and no one compelled him to act on it. He moved forward in haste, an act that in later years he would regard as a mistake. The future is not set in stone, only the past is locked in place.

Blackbeard already has what might be the most powerful Logia and what is confirmed to be one of the most powerful Paramecias. I know the common theory is that he'll have all 3 types, but if they gave him a copy of Luffy's fruit that would be ridiculous. Not to mention that's going under the assumption that a copy of Luffy's DF gets made (if it even can), that Blackbeard gets ahold of it (why would he when he's all the way by Amazon Lily), and that it doesn't kill him. Since we don't know how BB acquires the DFs we have no idea if it is even able to be done with a SMILE fruit.

I definitely feel that the "JoyBoy Prophecy" will essentially be working very much with Luffy's "True Dream". If we're going with the theory of Luffy's True Dream being "Throwing the Biggest Party where Everyone in the World can Eat and Party as much as they want", and with the Ancient Kingdom that Joy Boy was a part of going against what the World Government and the Celestial Dragons came from, I have an idea that to accomplish Luffy's True Dream, they'll have to assist the Revolutionaries in taking down the Celestial Dragons. Be that intention or non-intentional, the 2 paths are nearly intertwined to collide at the end goal.

I think Chopper's human form looking bestial is less to do with the fruit and more that some zoans just retain traits of their original self even in their fully-transformed state. See also: Yamato's Oni horns on their wolf form.

It was all fate and he was this herald of the new era but it wasn't entirely by choice, he was ALWAYS fated to be that, but it means he's TIED DOWN by fate, but maybe he'll have a big moment where he gets to decide how to do it his own way and not just whatever it says on a poneglyph
Alternatively, Luffy, in classic Luffy fashion, doesn't realize the prophecy is about him and goes "Oh boy, I hope that person comes about soon ! It'd be neat to meet them !" and stays as free as he has always been because he doesn't let it tie him down

So in chapter 1042 Kaido beat Luffy by slamming his club in to Luffy’s chest. Then in 1043 Luffy’s heart started to beat with the drums of liberation. So it was always my head cannon that when Kaido struck Luffy it offset his heart beat so that it was in time with the drums.
Luffy saying that he feels "free" when in that form is like saying that he feels like he can do everything like no one can defeat him and his imagination is the only limit, it's like when Naruto met Hagoromo and was given with the power of the 6 path

ok so odd thought but i do think luffy's dream is to unite the marines and the pirates. This is because Luffy Wants to be openly friendly with Garp to the world. A similar situation that roger probably had with Garp. an other Idea for that Luffy & Roger cross over movie /OVA that would (probably) not break the time travel rule set by Toki. Iinstead of Luffy going back in time through a fruit or something to meet up with Roger, that movie/OVA could send Roger(or an avatar of him) into the future with a time limit attached to it (like at the end roger would just think it was a neat dream)
Yeah, I also ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM through words when I read things I like. It's a valid strategy because it enables you to read the story multiple times and get new things out of it
I think Rodger didn't find out about the prophesy until the end, and was really just going on his journey because of a feeling in his gut (will of D) that this was something he needed to do. Kind of like how Oden got this weird feeling when he made a brief stop at Wano during his trip with Rodger, and that weird feeling was telling him to get what he needed, and then hurry out of there as fast as possible. Somehow he knew that if he stayed longer, he'd never leave again, and he still had more he needed to accomplish before he returned to Wano for good. My guess is Rodger only fully understood the true nature of the prophesy when he got to Laughtale, and that's what caused him to laugh, while also regretting that he wasn't born in Joyboy's time. He knew his own journey would be important in the days to come, and he was genuinely happy about that. At the same time though, he was like "Dammit! I wish I could be there to see all the excitement that the next Joyboy will get up to. That's gonna be one hell of an adventure that'll turn the world on its head!"

I think oden’s version of freedom was getting off wano and exploring the world which he did and afterwards he came back to wano a changed man and mature enough to lead a nation. I think the “rude freedom” you were referring to displayed by oden and luffy is more so just a part of their rude personality, which could be a byproduct of their version of freedom.
***MY TAKE ON GEAR 5TH'S ACTIVATION***
One thing I could say about the activation of gear 5th, to restart a heart it takes an electric pulse or something like a shock from a defibrillator. Also it's not the circulatory system in the body that is involved in the restarting of a heart, it's the nervous system that has to send the signal to the heart to get it started. The nervous system controls all other parts and systems of the body. It had to take legendary levels of will power for Luffy to be virtually dead, and then send a major spark throughout his body and restart his heart. I think because of this, and because of a lore standpoint, where Luffy uses different body systems for each of his gears, gear 5th taps into Luffy's nervous system.
Fun fact, adrenaline rushes effect the heart, but they're actually a chemically induced nerve stimulation that keeps body in a broad state of awareness. Nerves again, and the complete "freedom," he gets is actually from his awareness taking a significant rise, even Kaido said this when he first awakened. Boosted awareness is an achievement of the mind, and what body system uses your mind??? The nervous system of course, and since the nervous system controls the body it would also explain why Luffy can use his devil fruit to significantly change his form way beyond the limits of gear 4th. Gear 5th clearly is the combination of all his gears, the blood with gear 2nd, bones with gear 3rd, and muscels with gear 4th. In gear 5th Luffy taps into his nervous system and controls them all and thus, he becomes "more free."
This is awesome and I hope it is or at least is close to the actual truth behind Luffy's gear system.
