There are too many developers out there nowadays who simply chase trends to make money. One thing I'd like to see in this game is space station interiors that we can walk around in. I can just imagine an old 80s style space diner. Kind of like the one at the end of Spaceballs. 😂
Just started playing this (like yourself, playing a lot of Star Wars Outlaws), loving this so far, been packing away my spare crap a d tidying up the interior of my truck... really good game so far.
The thing that has me most excited is they're working on getting HOTAS support implemented. I guess it was supposed to be ready at launch, but they couldn't get it done for OOBE, but they're finishing it up now for a near future update.
For Alaskan Road Truckers before they consider making a new game, they should: 1) Fix Wasilla/Palmer Crashes 2) Fix Achievements not tracking 3) Do what ATS did and add some map expansions Regarding 1) i got a bit annoyed as a community member was trying to act like a mod and wanted photos/videos of the crash but all they have to do is play the game and drive from Wasilla to Palmer and vice versa.
I keep away from that discord now , everyone in it wear rose tinted glasses , it's a vacum where you get shit down for having concerns ! Completely useless
I've just taken a 1 month Gamepass Ultimate sub for my annual TSW freeplay so having this game as well is a very timely bonus. Thanks for the video and looking forward to playing it. I also noticed it had a sizeable update today so if the developer intention is to keep on top of issues and potentially grow the game then they're off to a good start👍
From what I have heard they have plans to expand on the game yesterday so I'm looking forward to seeing what they bring to the game , the game has proved very popular , and almost every video on my feed is this game ! Everyome is talking about it and I'm really happy with it , something very different !
@@CGDGAMES Well, I did give it a try but immediately ran into a problem. When I get to the part in the intro/tutorial (default difficulty setting) that involves fixing the two hull leaks a random AI vehicles smashes into my truck, sending me and it hurtling uncontrollably into space. This happens around the time when i'm fixing the second leak....but what makes matters worse is that I don't have enough oxygen to get back to my truck. Is this normal? If it is then after three failed attempts I genuinely don't have the will to go thru it all a fourth time. Also, eagle-eyed me noticed in this video that when you stop thrusting your speed drops. Surely that shouldn't happen in zero gravity😋

Better outside camera and thrusters for the truck up and down. Great game. Maybe you can upgrade thrusters later so I can stand still and go upp and down..
I had a few hours on it last night, and although I was having problems trying to control it I thought it looked very good and once I can get use to the controls I am going to enjoy this for sure. I am now going to watch your first stream of this.
Once you get your head around the controls it becomes a joy to fly , just remember you don't have to go full throttle all the time , it's easier to control at slower speeds , also a good tip when you are turning at speed and you are the angle you want to be at just slightly pull the opposite way and it brings you to a perfect stop !
This game looks so great hope its on ps5. I have given up on Alaskan truckers because of all the problems with it. I have been playing construction simulator and it's fantastic no bugs it's just amazing. Hope you are well.
loving it... its a tough start on 'normal' difficulty, so much to learn... its easy to end up with money troubles, and lack of resources (batteries etc), but starting to get the hang of it now... I'll be ok, once I repay that 8k debt -lol. just unlocked skill to tow multiple trailers, nice to see the game opening up as I play.
I restarted on casual and still struggling with cash due to fuel and hull damage , it's a tough game to master but a very enjoyable game to play indeed , I'm glad you are enjoying it too pal , another live stream today at 6pm !
@@CGDGAMES I’m level 10 now … and I’m still struggling for cash. Surprisingly the payouts don’t seem to improve, just an extra $100 or so bonus 😆 feels like I’m constantly doing jobs just to buy batteries and filters.
Really enjoying this game. Having played Elite Dangerous I feel at home with the controls. The HULL INTEGRITY thing caught me out too, I went out to check aswell but after looking at the manual, it just means the lower your hull integrity, the more likely you'll get holes when colliding with things and you can get the hull repaired to 100% at services. Also, if you fail a mission from "dying" its best to quit the game and then click continue as it puts you back at the last gate you jumped through, with your cargo intact.
Loving this game Lee. I'm sure you and others have mentioned this but it took monster and monster ONE day to put out a patch for xbox. How long was it for ART? 3 weeks?
The less said about road studios then better , they've really pi**ed me off ! As you said 24hrs later we have a patch for star trucker , yet here we have two patches on Alaskan that were major flaws ( save bug and crashing in truck store ) yet the game is still littered with bugs . Put it this way , the pc version still has day one issues that haven't been fixed , and that was released 12 months ago !

Only played couple of hours. Steep learning curve with the controls. Did a reverse park earlier and i thought i was bad at reverse parking on art 😂. Getting more used to it now so hopefully will enjoy it more

Data cables and work wear and stuff like that i think is for buying and selling and trade at shops. You can buy stuff like that at shops, the galaxies have different things that they sell cheap and stuff they need are expensive so you can buy stuff cheap at one galaxy and take it to another galaxy and sell it for a profit so its like a trading element to the game to😊

I played for a few hours yesterday and it is great! Noticed a couple things that bothered me tho, I play alot of space/flight sims, and the truckers but with inverted controls, while you are reversing your truck those controls are no longer inverted- extremely frustrating. Also in a space game you really really need to be able to travel in 6dof but you are stuck with no strafe left right or straight up and down. Again manageable but makes alot of the driving unnecessarily time consuming and not believable. Apart from those I do like it I just dont think I will be playing much unless some updates fix some things.
A lot of people have complained that you aren't able to go directly up and down and straife, but I think what they are trying to achieve here is the movement of a truck on land I suppose , that's my take on it anyway ? What do you think ? Thanks for watching pal
I'm enjoying it so far, driving and docking can be difficult sometimes if it gets out of control. I usually don't buy games in Gamepass (Palworld being only exception) but i'll likely buy it when it leaves Gamepass like i did with Spiritfarer so i can own it.
The game has potential but my biggest issues with it is having to reverse into docs every single time you want to do something you want to pick up contract reverse into a dock you want to pick up your cargo reverse into the cargo It's like we're in space that's a lot more difficult than it sounds 😵 anyways that's my rant about this game if there wasn't so much reversing in it I might put more time into it but I'm just not willing to waste all that time learning how to reverse in space when it's a skill I'm never ever going to use outside of that game
@@CGDGAMES yes mate i've sunk nearly 15 hrs so far an its getting good i wont spoil it for you but it gets intresting with barrow & candy an i went fragile cargo tree but you can put points where ever i think its more what you prioritise
@@CGDGAMES just an fyi, you can repair at both a upgrade shop as well as a repair shop, the game don't actually tell you that so I spent a long time thinking Junk town was the only place you can repair lol
Great video, great looking game! I've had it with Alaskan Truck; too much of the same, still too much glitches and I'm a bit disappointed with overall look of the game. Also the steering wheel support on consoles is not as good like it is on PC. BTW: any new about the promised wheel support for Taxi Life; I thought wheel support would be coming for the end of august?! Again good video; I will give StarTrucker ago on my XBos Series X soon!

I look at the mouse on control stick as the person, you want to look up, you lean back and look up, you want to look down, you lean forward and look down, I hate in un-inverted and it's so bad gaming with someone who is opposite when you're having turns at playing, games don't make a quick change for the inverted and non inverted view, arggggg

Very difficult to compare , yes ST came out in what seems to be a working condition with hardly any issues maybe a few niggles , it's way more polished ... But for me although they are both " trucking games " they are very different .And difficult to compare . The difference for me is the development , star trucker Devs have shown what can be done with a small team and budget . Pure Quality !
Console players beg for an actual trucking simulation like ATS or ETS2 and get this fantasy 💩 instead. This game has put itself into such a weird niche. Definitely not a must buy for actual simulation fans.

I discovered that by accident, as well as the A and B buttons zooming in and out when in the external views.
Right stick button moves camera between 3 or 4 zoom levels.

Construction sim is a fantastic game , solid title with very few issues now ! Enjoy !

I've not seen gameplay of this until now, but this looks amazing.

Definitely worth buying any simulation fan has to have this in their library !! And it supports a fantastic dev team to grow the game !

Did a couple of jobs yesterday but going to start over today on Driver difficulty rather than Recommended so the truck requires less maintenance.
Starting on casual is the way to go !
Look forward to a VR mod for this. American/Euro Truck simulator is great in VR so sure this will be too. Even better.

Reversing with a trailer is the only thing I have an issue with , as it's so difficult lol !

Hull Integrity critical means your hull is damaged but not leaking air mate. You can get it repaired in a garage.😉

Just gave it a look last night, very impressed! How have you zoomed your 1st person veiw backwards so you can see all three consoles?
It's in the option buddy , it's the FOV slider , just turn that up to max and you are good to go !

All I've done is inverted my controls , so up is up and down is down , it's just the way my brain works 🤣🤣

Was it a bug? Because it happened to me too. Lost oxygen and couldnt do anything about it.
The passing out out due to lack of oxygen wasn't a bug , but the job still being active but the trailer vanishing was a bug !

Great PC can Truck in space meanwhile I still can't truck on Earth that isn't in a EU country, runs at 5fps and has 1989 graphics. 👌
It's superb mate , shows what can be done with a small team and a small budget !

Console players beg for an actual trucking simulation like ATS or ETS2 and get this fantasy 💩 instead. This game has put itself into such a weird niche. Definitely not a must buy for actual simulation fans.
What is an "actual simulation fan " it's a fun title , something there for everyone , but each to their own and I appreciate you watching and commenting 👍

@clausbaumann8335 Not coming to PS5. Looked it up and game you are talking about is Space Cargo 2024 or something like that. When I googled Star Trucker, it's only for Xbox and PC
