I love an SL-55. But honestly have never liked the sound of them. Ended up buying an E63 M6 over a 55 because of that. THIS. CHANGES. EVERYTHING. I've always loved the Corsa sound ever since having a system on a Corvette I owned. This single handily makes me want an SL-55 again. But only if I'm able to replicate this. Congrats on a beautiful car and an even more amazing exhaust note.
Thanks JP! That 5 liter V10 is hard to beat, especially with a proper exhaust. The biggest let down for me as well was the sound on the SL as it was always too quiet or had a flappy sound once you open up the stock exhaust by removing mufflers and/or resonators. However, now it has the wild screaming V8 sound with no drone to compliment how aggressive the car looks 👍
I ve had a chance to drive one with muffler delete and eurocharge ecu tune with a smaller pulley on the supercharger. Sounded just like this but a little louder ( have clips of em if u wanna hear it :)
Hat size of tank for sc is that u have the demensions I run the cwa 100 pump but only 1.2litre xtra tank want a bigger tank By the way nice work beautiful car
Too loud for me. I think I'll go with removing the resonators and see how I like it first. Headers are very nice though. My trouble has been keeping rubber on the rear treads with a stock engine..
Hey Keith. The long tube headers were sourced from BenzWorks and the Corsa Xtreme mufflers were sourced from a completely different kind of car. As you know, Corsa doesn't make exhaust systems for Mercedes, so a fair amount of work was performed to fit them on the SL.
You ended doing most of the welding and v bands your self for that custom exhaust right? I am running the mid length header and stock back muffler, welded straight pipe in for cats and resonators. It works and sounds good but would really want to run a smooth straight pipe all the way and some corsa mufflers!
The first time out it made 574 horsepower and 624 torque to wheels on the dyno. I'll be back next week on Tuesday to dyno again after having made a few small tweaks!

Definitely Joshua. Had to really rethink this setup and the addition of the Corsa mufflers makes a killer sound with no drone.

Thanks Steve. The supercharger coolant reservoir holds around 1.7 gallons and the complete circuit has a capacity of about 2.5 gallons now.
