Excellent, Bob. I didn't even realize there was a prior issue of this set. I had been wondering where the other 2 gods were.

Thanks for your introduction to Greek mythology and some history. And I'm sorry that Ted's was letter was lost. Hope one of you will get it back. And maybe, another video? haha

This is a great concept. There is so much fun in digging into the history associated with stamps. Thank you.

Holy Mackerel! I just realized, I forgot to insert my video clips of packing your order and getting the postmark at the post office. NO SOUP FOR ME!

I also felt something was missing when I was watching your video 🤣

@@RichardPhilatelist Yeah, our original mailing date was January 10. And then, with the long delay caused by the post office losing my first mailing to Bob, when I got back to editing this episode, I had completely forgotten about those clips. They are still on my phone. 🤣

👏👏👏 A very well done S&R Challenge! As always, I really enjoyed watching, your sense of humor makes your videos so fun ("I hope he gets his stamps back someday, or I'll get them and send it back to him, I wont even open them.... well, maybe I'll open them." 🤣) It's a lovely set of stamps that you received- I like the design, and learned tons from your thorough research! Thanks for a great episode.
(PS Just curious - why is it mean to send Ted a red envelope? Is it the contrast of the writing? Is it a mail etiquette that I am unaware of?)

Thanks! Back when we could soak stamps off envelopes the red envelopes were dreaded by most because the envelope ink runs in water. It would stain at least that stamp and maybe any other stamps in the bowl. It’s like washing your new red sweater/jumper with your white cotton T-shirts, and now having pink shirts. Not all red runs, of course but most American Christmas cards definitely have low quality envelopes.

As i collect Greece, i have these 2 sets and they are very cheap for 2 euros each, but if you find 1/1942 issue 5dr imperforated pair] it skyrockets the price from 0.50 cents to 300 euros.as well as the 50dr [dbl impression of stamp with offset on the back-150 euros]. for the 1943 set an imperf pair goes for 150-200 euros. I have GREECE 1958-1995 MNH. i am upgrading my collection slowly. I'm also using Album Easy to make the stamp album pages.and show them off. Greetings from Greece. I have been collecting for 52 years since 1972, Greece, New Zealand, Cyprus, Cook Islands, Britain. and some of the trucial states cancelled to order [Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah etc].
