Bro. I think you are using wrong method in this river. Because however I'm seeing that. The flow is quite not laminar, there some backwater effect and there is un uniform cross section due to the large stones. Soo in this type of river there is area velocity method specially current meter method is not applicable. You should try to dilution or other method. You can also use slope area method. .. What do you think. This is am asking because I'm also a student of hydrology.
One of the best method for measuring discharge is by using current meter method. We can measure velocity in turbulent flow and the depth at different section is measured to find the area of not uniform crosssection of river. Salt dilution method is only applicable for the turbulent flow with discharge lower than 5 cum/s. For big river salt dilution method is not applicable. Slope area gives fair result in uniform cross section with very mild slope, in such steep river you can't use maning's equation to get discharge.
