Biarritz was a very fashionable spa resort in those days. The clothes and the way the ladies are sitting on dining chairs on the beach are fascinating. Reading the comments below, it is sad that some people feel stimulated by beautiful old films like this to make unacceptable comments. It's really not necessary.

I think WW1 really changed people in a profound way. Before it people even dressed differently (the ruffles, big hats, big skirts and dresses). After the war people already dressed much more 'modern', if that makes sense.
