I went into this movie with low expectations because of the mixed reviews. So I expected it to not be good at all. And I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t bad at all in my opinion. Not the best movie ever, not amazing, but still pretty good. I still think the first Aquaman is better, but I still enjoyed this one
With the whole dc reboot thing, if they resolved to keep this fairly self contained and a solo outing as a movie, this has potential to be great. The villain motivation we know(?) Is at least personal, which would lend itself to that sort of narrative. Im cautiously optimistic!!
