Scape turned out great. Was interesting to see all the microscopic life swimming about as well. Think the neon's would look pretty good in the darker water along with the angels.
Those Angels look fantastic! There's nothing quite like a tanks full of Angelfish! I love Neon Tetras, but as I recall, the Angles will go after them as they get bigger. Maybe bigger Tetras. Just a thought. Cheers, Keith! ~Ron
I'm really looking forward to seeing them a little bigger and coloured up. I decided to go with neons. If there are any issues, I can tank them out and replace them
@@aquaticfanaticsuk true. I’ve got two koi angels in my 75 gallon tank. It’s been a rough ride. I started with I think it was 15. They’re the lone survivors. I’d like to find some more to try to enlarge the colony.
@garageaquatics2023 similar thing happened to me. I bought rio nanay angels and put them in with peppermint bristlenose. 1 by 1 the angels died but nothing with the bristlenose
Nice Keith. I reckon peppermint bristlenose, and Cardinal tetras if you plan on adding Discus. I am in the process of building a Blackwater tank at the moment.
Thats a lot of work but so worth it my friend!! Great scape , you did an awesome job . It would look awesome when done. The big pieces i usually screwed to a large rock to hold down Nice fish selection
Thanks, Stubbsy! I didn't trust weighing it down because it was so buoyant. It literally took all my weight to push it underwater, and after weeks, it hadn't changed
Great light
It’s what hygger do best 👍👍
Yeah, they're fantastic!
@@aquaticfanaticsukI’m in the same boat I’ve bought a slab of wood thats just to big. I’m going’s to chop it into three I think
Tank looks awesome Keith 👍👍
Thanks, Mal!
It's the downside to having wood. I'm too impatient to wait for it to sink, and weighing it down would drive ne nuts.
I think I just really like the contrast of the blackwater tanks with planted tanks.
Yeah, I have a planted tank in the room with the blackwater. Very different atmosphere from each tank
Wabermunster and try for green neons or kubotai rasbora
@@gbeeshrimp I'll keep an eye on what's available in my local shop over the next couple of weeks

Thsnk hou! I did add loads of daphnia, but they were gone in minutes. I was hoping some would get a foothold and reproduce. I like the idea of neon's
Hygger does make a good light.
I think they're great. I have 3 so far
WOW love it 🙏🌈💚🦐🏴
Cheers, mate!
@@aquaticfanaticsuk I had a disastrous new tank set up few weeks back ended up throwing the towel in 🤣
@MrG.Ivan76 how come?
@@aquaticfanaticsuk awww long story , tank looks ok now I suppose
@@aquaticfanaticsuk it is what it is I can live with it
Nice ❤
Thank you!
Love this tank mate and those Angels are 💯 great job and great video
Cheers, mate! Really worked hard with this video. I really want a few different types of aquariums
@@aquaticfanaticsuk smashing it mate
Looks so good mate
Cheers, mate!
Nice set up Keith, I’ve always wanted to do a river tank . I look forward to the progress and those Angels will look awesome in there
Cheers, mate! I'm looking forward to seeing it progress. I wanted to set up a few long-term projects and set myself some goals to achieve.
Great video. That is one big tank.
Thank you, Jon! I'm used to working with larger volumes of water.

@garageaquatics2023 it's strange the way angels can just suddenly start to fall apart.
@@aquaticfanaticsuk These were small. I put them in a quarantine tank with a bunch of corys from the same shop and only the angels died off.

That's the same Hygger Light they sent me. Cracking light, likewise, I switched off the blues
I think for the price, there isn't anything really in the same price range. I think you're looking in the £300 price range to out do this light.
@@aquaticfanaticsuk yeah, brilliant light. I might but more tbh
