They never were, core ejects just don't explode on contact with them. You can initiate a core eject manually by shooting it, although projectile boosts and parries are far more practical against faces.
i tried p-ranking every level on the first chapter. i jsut tried 2-1 bridgeburner and you know what. i failed by 2 seconds. 2 FUCKING seconds. evverything else was an s rank but FUCK. i FUCKING DIED IN REAL LIFE. AAAAAAAAAAAAA
I thought i had gotten good after learning how to use the coin, pboosting and beating v2 both on the sunlight and the moonlight levels with P rank. Damn, i wasn't so amazing after all.

Also a noobtip - when you dash milliseconds before you blast an over pumped shotgun shot, it will not affect you
and that's because dashing gives you a short moment of invincibility

You can just delete all your saves or move them into another place
I backed up my saves then deleted them. This can still end up in corrupt files though so not many people do New Game runs
If Ultrakill had multiple save files, New Game+ would probably be run a lot more, it seems like fun to me.

They also take 75% more damage from nails.

as soon as he comes out of the last teleport, punch and hold. The timing might be a bit different on other difficulties.

I don't use it, it's easier to just go directly for the weapon I need than to think about what my last weapon was.
