Junglegrave looks good. I can see people battling over the contents of their aquarium all over the place. I could see this working in a SCI FI setting with crews of starships battling it out in disused quarries and abandoned industrial plants. You can't activate the wizard with the heritor. Greoup activation is only fore hirelings otherwise you would set up an alpha strike of heritor, wizard and 5 crew who would all get to activate first.
Really into Frostgrave, and love the fact that the guys are always feeding the community with expansions! With that being said, I am excited to see what the new stand alone game has to offer! Looks like it has a lot of potential! Thanks for sharing guys!
So glad you have a batrep up of this! Loved Frostgrave and I just know Osprey will do great with this too and finally an excuse to buy those random pirate themed miniatures. Cant wait to get a copy
Worth mentioning that the ducks may be from Rebel Minis these days, but they started life at Mongoose as part of their Runequest range, produced under license. Lovely figs, and if you like them it's worth a look around the net for other Glorantha/RQ figs. Been a lot of manufacturers that have done figures for the setting over the years, most recently Rapier Miniatures upcoming Dark Troll and Morokanth (tapir-men, for the uninitiated) sculpts by the very talented Kevin Adams.
Oh yes! More Frostgrave :D I recently bought the original rulebook and plan on playing through the original game as well as all the expansions with some friends. This will deffinitely be added to that list!
Sounds kinda like a mix of Frostgrave and Blood and Plunder. Oh. There is a game you should look into if you haven't already. Blood and Plunder is an amazing game.
Thanks for this great video. I've noticed the gorgeous trees you have on the table. May I ask where did you get the armatures for the tall trees? What brand are they?
looking forward to this when it comes out. I really like the way the changes sound. Does crit still double damage? When you do Dracula's America are you going to go through warband creation? My copy came in the mail today and I am still a bit confused on it.
I am really looking forward to this. I will be using my same guys from Frostgrave, which are my Anglo Saxon and Viking plastic models from Gripping Beast for Saga, with Warlord Games druid for my magic guy (godi). Northern raiders come to have their names remembered in the sagas as they gain fame and fortune for their jarl. Is there no Frostgrave like base in this, or stuff you get for your ship?
Sweet, I am looking forward to that. Not as much as I am looking forward to actually getting my hands on the rules, but I am looking forward to it none the less.
Hi Ash, thanks for the videos. I had a few questions however, can you play through the Frostgrave campaigns with your heritors? And second is Ghost Archipelago more difficult to play then Frostgrave? Really want to get some friends in to either game. Thanks again for all the content you’re getting loads of people into great albeit lesser well known games.
Ash, would you suggest using these new rules from this in the original game? I have all the books but have only played one game so far. I'm about to start on the Thaw of the Lich Lord but I'm wondering if it's best to use the new revamped rules in that campaign?
+OdinsWolf _ The first time each turn is easy, but he difficulty jumps by 3 every time you use one each turn. So the most you can use Heritor abilities Ina. Single turn is 6 times as you can't roll a 21 and the min TN is 3. :)
Ok... so Frostgrave is CLEARLY lacking (albeit great, but let's be honest: lacking) system that feels rushed and not very refined. Instead of realizing this and fixing it, Frostgrave players are left with a "Core rulebook" that doesn't hold all the core rules at all (the Folio is kind of a requirement to have, as are some others)... AND THET MAKE A REFINED VERSION IN ANOTHER SETTING?! Wow. Just wow, that doesn't make sense at all xD
I also love that you can use whatever minis you like as your crew and creatures - like that monsterpocalypse space herpie as the jungle tick.

Finally getting this to the table soon, thanks for the good video
Super excited for this book's release, the changes look great and the Queen of the Black Coast feel is definitely there.

damn those are some ducks straight out of King of Dragon pass. Hope they get to fight some undead and just be perpetually angry
I mean those *are* Gloranthan miniatures, so yeah. They're exactly the ducks from Dragon Pass!
What a cool game! And it helped me make some decisions about a game I'm currently developing! Oh, and Duchilles is a freakin' beast. - Ian McDonald
just found this ...... the athenian ducks - the old role play game runequest, allowed duck adventurers. it was semi greek mythology
Oh yes! More Frostgrave :D I recently bought the original rulebook and plan on playing through the original game as well as all the expansions with some friends. This will deffinitely be added to that list!
fun to watch. Love your jungle. esp the pond... awesome stuff
I liked the duck minis, they were pretty neat. Game feels a little bit more balanced imo
Tears in my eyes seeing your Hell Dorado miniatures. Any chance you are going to play a round Hell Dorado as "Blast from the Past"-event?
Inheritors, special powers, pirates? Sounds so much like Red Steel from DnD.
Sounds kinda like a mix of Frostgrave and Blood and Plunder. Oh. There is a game you should look into if you haven't already. Blood and Plunder is an amazing game.
Awesome! Didn't know they had a novel/story collection...
So jealous, lol. Can't wait for this.
Perfect timing gonna watch and preper dinner :D

Hand sculpted by Greenleaf Terrain!
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames Thanks!!!

I will indeed. :)
Hey Ash! I love the batrep but I must say it's kinda impossible to see the results on the blue dice.

We'll get into the Ships and Water stuff in the next episode. :)

Love random power tables
Hmm. Would you say the ForgePrints AdventureScapes KS docks set was a good fit with this game set? Yay, standalone!

What mat is this? It looks fantastic!
I realize this is posted late, but where did you get that crab miniature? it looks awesome
I believe it's a Reaper undead crab. :)
The D20 is so unforgiving !
I assumed you were supposed to use a d6 for the abilities seems really easy to use them otherwise

Ok thanks for the clarification haven't got my hands on the rules yet but that makes it sound more interesting.
Animals can now carry treasure?
Hey Ash, where are the round wound markers from? Thx!
+Dave Rockefeller Litko! :)
First it was murder-mice....and now its duckmen? Is he trying to tell us something personal?
Is it 25MM or 30MM or other scale?
Around there. Really whatever scale the models you like are!
I'll let you off for no cowboys this time
The hype is real!!! Any word on the release date?
October 24th in North America. May be a few days different in other parts.
Thanks dude. Will there be a Nickstarter for it like previous releases?
Yup, there will indeed. Keep an eye on northstarfigures.com.
Thanks, I will ;)
Where the Pokémon

Won't watch because of the duck people
Watched because of the duck people :) ..... do love a Gloranthan Duck or 8 in the mix
