I have worked and also been invited several times to the Cannes film festival. I do agree that Kylie is unproblematic, however people need to put things in perspective. The Cannes film festival is in France, people speak French, and sometimes security speaks very basic english. I think it’s more of a lost in translation situation gone wrong… where the security lady was not being rude but came across as if because of a lack of vocabulary.
