The way the level is laid out, making his huge vehicle shoot in from around the corner all the time, is really cool and actually kind of scary. I tensed up a little every time you approached an intersection.

Of all the final bosses in the 90s games such as this, DarkTooth has been my favourite, (ironic bc my account is named DarkTooth XD) he is what many first-time players of this game didn’t see coming when your up against him, big and menacing, shame he wasn’t at all playable until head on, I was caught off-guard when I first fought him, and I was very young at that point too, the size and speed, including the large 3D head that SweetTooth lacked, is enough to scare anyone, Metal Gear REX comes in second as one of my favourite final bosses (technically REX was the first half of the final boss fight against Liquid) if DarkTooth is to return in a TM2 remaster, they better stay true to the nostalgia that gave 90s gamers nightmares
And, lastly, with the improved hardware they have these days, probably make his TM2 version officially playable. As many fans like myself, hope to see.

And there wasnt crap for internet back then. There was no warning! Scary!!! David Jaffe made a timeless masterpiece. Im now 31 years old and i still end up playing it or watching videos. It is one of the gery few ps1 games u can still play and enjoy. Other games lack way too much in draw distance and are totally unplayable by today standards. Twisted metal was a very balanced game even with graphics back then. Controls were perfect. Masterpiece.

I remember when I was 9 and I first played Dark Tooth I was basically thinking "what the hell is that thing?" I spent most of my time trying to hide and whenever I got hit once I would circle the block a few times at high speed waiting for a health to reappear. And then when I fought the floating decapatated head that was a different story all together.
This was such an insane boss fight. You thought you would be able to out maneuver him through the intersections but some how he would be right behind you attacking you. Or you see him in the distance and the head jumps at you from insane range lmao mfer was relentless. He would also just disappear off the radar at random times making it that much more stressful
ok try to replicate what i did defeat him as spectre using only your machine guns it took me a while to beat alot of driving and alot of health collecting the head is hard to defeat with machine guns you gotta hit and time alot of jumps just right
Apart from the fact that it's the biggest vehicle in the entire game, and the fact it barrels down the street with ungodly speed... To first time players who have survived long enough to make to Dark Tooth, unaware that they would pitted against a damn charter bus.... That shit would be terrifying.
