    It appears you never used a TPMS tool before. You need to be close to the sensor when programming or reading it. Reviews are best when you know what the feature and functions are and then film it.

      @@rodx5571 Why are you obsessed with defending questionable work? Its either good or bad and were going to comment on it how we see fit. He gets paid through ads that were forced to watch or we have to pay for no ads so your point about that is just wrong.

    What is the difference between MX and OE sensors ?
    I have a 2011 Toyota Sienna
    I read my sensors
    It read 3, one is completely dead
    Now, how do I copy the old IDs to the new OE sensors ?
    It only says copy by OBD
    I am not sure what I am supposed to do now
    Can anyone help ?
    Do I have to use the new sensors ID numbers and program them into the OBD ?

      Autel TS408 gives you the ability to activate most of sensors on the market, including: GM, Ford etc. Welcom to contact support-amazon@autelonline.com for your specific need and to ensure the vehicle compatibility.

    So what keeps someone from changing the TPMS IDs on sensors on someone car maliciously?

    • @fowvee
      @fowvee Год назад

      most sensors require a specific tool to program them. For example, the Autel tool will only program Autel sensors. ATEQ will program a few specific brands of OEM sensors and the same holds true for BARTEC. When you buy sensors on-line the sensors have had to have been programmed by a compatible tool for the specific year/make/model of vehicle the sensors will be installed in. If you buy universal sensors such as the Autel MX-sensor used in this video, the sensor can only be programmed by the Autel tool and not by any other brand. So it is possible for someone to nefariously change a serial number on a sensor but it's not as simple as just walking up to vehicle and being able to do it. Also, settings on the tool prevent programming of sensors if they're under pressure. This can be overridden on the tool but you have to know how to do this. From the factory the tool is set to not allow programming of installed sensors - the sensor pressure reading has to be under 10 PSI (69Kpa) to program it.

    how do you transfer that into cars ECU? dont we need to correlate the TPMS data with the car?

    • @aDIYCarGuy
      @aDIYCarGuy  4 года назад +2

      It copies the codes of the existing sensors onto the new sensors and those codes are already in the ECU. If you use the Auto Create feature and create unique ID's and need to do an ECU relearn, the scan tool shows you the procedure specific to your vehicle, like "turn the key 5 times and press the brake pedal within 5 seconds" etc..... it's not done through the tool.

    Hi, great video, thank you. I have a 2021 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid, just put aftermarket wheels, TPMS sensors and tires from CARID and yes, my TPMS light is on. How do I program these new ones to the car if I don't know what brand they are? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    • @aDIYCarGuy

      look up the sequence online, it's car specific, with my expedition I think I had to turn the key on and off in some pattern and then press a button and tells the car I want to start programming the sensors, then I use the tpms scan tool at each sensor to trigger them

  • @Chris-go9ti

    it has no idea what sensor you are at. YOu just scanned the same sensor twice. Or as you walked it either got the one you were at or were close to. you hit the button when you are AT that tire then move, hit the button , move, ect.
