    I have been looking at tons of campers. I am always so glad when I see one of PJ's videos. They are always so detailed with absolutely no BS. I would drive out to Texas to purchase just based on her presentation skills alone. I can look at specs for info but at the end of the day these videos are excellent at putting yourself right there in the camper. Nod to the camera man as well!

    I picked up a 2020 XL Boondock LIte last weekend. And it has the "Princess Craft" logo on the back. I will gladly leave it there. It's a sign of premium quality and service. Love this thing. Built solid as can be. Thinking about adding dual 100W panels on the top, straddling the stargazer window. I was going to go camping this weekend at Brazos State Park, but looks like winter is threatening us, serious like. Keep making the great videos, and I'll keep watching.

      Sorry, it wasn’t clear that it was the MSRP pricing. It’s so tricky to talk about price, and we were trying a new approach. Reality, There’s a lot of difference in size and options here, so a TAG could be anywhere between 15,000 and $20,000 depending on what’s included and where you are shopping! Adding in the generator is an interesting idea!!!

    I have a 2014 T@G Basic and I’ve made a lot of changes to use it for Boondocking. I like the way these are built and it’s holding up really well for me.
    I like the solar panel, but I have a pair of 50 watt panels with a door hinge and aluminum poles as props. I can park the trailer in the shade and move the solar panels with the sun during the day.
    I like the gas port on the new model. The stove looks like it has larger burners than they used to have.
    The microwave, entertainment system, AC, etc. are a bit of gold plating that I wouldn’t use - I’m boondocking and enjoying the great outdoors after all. However, I have added a diesel parking heater to my 2014 and that’s nice for taking the chill off of early spring and late fall camping. I’d suggest NuKamp figure out how to make that diesel heater an option.

    A low hanging gas port at rear of your "off road" camper...what could go wrong?

    • @retrodog63
      @retrodog63 3 года назад +1

      Uh, a cursory look might indicate that. But if you're thinking far enough ahead to see a problem with it, then go a bit further and you'll notice that there is nothing "low hanging" about it. It's pretty much attached to the bottom of the frame and will be entirely blocked from any typical damage by the leveling jacks when they are in their up[ward position. If they had put it any higher, it would be nearly impossible to access/use. All things considered, it looks to be tucked away about as well as you ask them to do.

    • @xbpbat21x
      @xbpbat21x 3 года назад

      @@retrodog63 I guess you don't off-road, much. Anything below the frame is at risk. This valve is rear of the jacks. The trailer has a poor departure angle anyway. Do I need to explain what a departure angle is? It's a fine trailer for gravel roads and other smoother off road trails. Just go slow and be careful.

    • @retrodog63
      @retrodog63 3 года назад +1

      @@xbpbat21x Been off-roading for over 45 years, off and on. Also done a lot of design work, carpentry, and construction. That thing inside of the departure angle, but I didn't mention that because of obvious potential for interference with protruding rocks and the like. If you want to discuss it's base design for off roading, that's another subject. I'll probably agree with you on that, to some degree. I'm getting old now so I probably won't be blazing any new trails off into the unexplored wilderness. But if I decide to, and I find that connection at risk, I'd just move it or remove

    • @xbpbat21x
      @xbpbat21x 3 года назад

      @@retrodog63 That was my point from my original post...These bigger cookie cutter manufacturers think a little lift and more aggressive tires and they can stamp it with "off-road". If you have to move or remove anything, then their design is flawed from the beginning. I've even seen some put the spare tire underneath and sacrifice the ground clearance. Like I said before, gravel roads and light trails...and it's fine. Much more than that, and it won't last. Thanks for your input, with your experience and skills, you should be building them...there is a huge market for them right now.
