i do agree with cash that the dynamic of luka and kyrie doesn't really make sense, but you also gotta remember that kyrie does seem like a "ball dominate guard" but he never really was the main guy who had the ball besides when he played with Boston. He has always played beside a super star, Lebron, KD, Harden. He never really needed the ball, he is the type that can go get you a bucket but also can play off other guys. I think that this trade is really weird but it could work.

@@Thanh-ph3mm it’s not going to work out with kyrie in Luka and I don’t see kyrie staying with the mavericks next season I want him on the lakers he doesn’t fit well with Luka they both dominant players it’s like Chris Paul and James harden teaming up once again it’s not going to work out they can’t even play defense Luka is slow asf to be able to guard somebody like no defense wins championships not offense remember that and then who is on the bench for the mavericks like they don’t have a scorer on the bench that can score for them like they won’t even make it to the finals with this roster at all

Luka came from overseas where they play TEAM ball , and kyrie played with other ball dominant players and still got his. They goin be good
Luka and Kyrie will be fine on offense, the Mavs' real problem is defense. If they can get someone like a Crowder or a long wing defender that can guard the 4/5 as well they'd be legit

They had decent defender in Finney-Smith but they just traded him off so yeah that was the trade off for this trade which in a way put a bigger dent in the defense

But, the Mavs are better than they ever were since 2011.
They improved from this trade, 100%
Cash saying since Luka and Kyrie are both ball dominate that it isn’t going to work, but yet Kyrie won a championship with Lebron who’s one of the most ball dominate players in the NBA. They will figure it out and make it work with a little time playing together. Cash also said they should have went after a big man but they already have Christian Wood who’s been playing very well this season when he’s healthy. The Mavs already made it to the conference finals last season without Kyrie or Wood, as long as all 3 of them can stay healthy it’s going to be very tough to beat them in a 7 game playoff series.
