Right on all points. I am also a solo player for the most part because finding a stable team is the hardest quest in Tibia. The fastest way I can level is not by hunting for exp. It's by hunting for profit, buy TC with gp, then buy a higher lvl char on the char bazaar. The only benefit for solo players with the direction that CIPsoft is doing by promoting more team hunting, is that chars are getting cheaper on the char bazaar since a lot of players tend to sell their chars once their team split apart.
What are some profitable hunts that you do most often? I only have very low level chars right now but am considering buying something a little higher maybe in the 300-500 realm if that can get me some decent money.

Doing the quests on the minimum required lvl is the most funn. Why go hunt for gp to buy a new char? It takes all the fun away in my opinion. Finding a stable team or quest is just a matter of time to look on different worlds that has neutral big guilds with alot of active players. They are out there.
I will never get this. I prefer building my own character and making it stronger day by day instead of just buying final product. With bought character I would have feeling that its not mine. "Built, not bought" That's my motto.

That's ok, none of it matters, it's just a game, some of us hate the grind or straight up don't have the time for it because let's face it, most people who play this game are adults trying to recapture the feeling of a game from our youth. As someone who works 70 hours a week and has already been there done that over the years in this game off and on since high school in '02, I had absolutely no problem buying a 900+ to hunt stuff I consider fun and interesting because realistically my actual free time is too valuable and that's the only way I can enjoy this game with the limited amount of time I can spend on it. The whole "I didn't build it, so it's not mine", doesn't really matter, good for those that have the time to do it naturally, it's a lot of work, but in the end it's a game to play as we all see fit. Nothing wrong with that, your level 700+ will be a treat if someone coming from a lower level character such as myself decides to buy a new one :) I don’t see how leveling infinitely can be a sustainable strategy for any MMO game, so tibia will for sure come down to profit to buy items, mounts, bosses, you know, the peripheral stuff so to speak, and to me that’s great. Power leveling is tiring and meaningless at some point
This has been complained about on the forums for years but they delete and ban everything that's not showering them with praise, from what I can tell. There are so many disconnects between the players I've played with over the last 16 years and the players CIP seems to be basing their decisions on. Really wish they were more open with their community but since I've been back it has a real "they're the kings and were the peasants" vibe going. They clearly do not care about secondary or tertiary effects of their changes, in my opinion.

Im working on 3 shift system so its impossible to hunt with regular team guys. So i mostly hunting solo as 600 rp and im ok with that, 6/7kk xp and 1kk profit on rosh or cts are good for me. I have a 2y old son and stop prioritize tibia over familly really.
Actually, it's good for vocaction balancing. EKs on mid level prefer to hunt asuras solo since they can do better exp solo than any other spot duo with ED. Also, playing solo as ED/MS doesn't exist at all and you have to depend on finding EK. During double XP it's hard to find any EK for duo since they get better exp solo...
Why agree with CIP? There's nothing wrong with complaining. If people stopped supporting companies that use pay2win models then it would never have become a thing. But since it is. Online gaming is dead. If Tibia makes it not worth it to solo hunt then they will eventually get rid of their own customers. What's that to agree with? Seems strange to me.
That’s where the money is. If they weren’t doing p2w they would do it somewhere else. Tibia isn’t the most popular game so they are just milking it at this point. But CIP incentivizing team hunting was a great thing to do for tibia. For the longest time it was too much work so it’s an improvement.

well, he explained it by showing the math on the expenses it takes to compete with the level difference. more than likely hes saving money and time by switching the characters. In some way thats a win, i guess.
Money I guess, lots of players use the game as a way to get real money income, I see a lot of that on south america countries where the money of the country is worse than tibia money. I have paid for mounts and just once bought a knight lvl 100 to play with a friend in another server.
Just remember Tibia is an MMORPG and in most cases, it's about playing with other players - and to encourage that, game devs implement mechanics to boost this idea. I know about 1 game that has horizontal progress and you can play it like single player - Guild Wars 2 (maybe there are more?)
This is what I have done for the last year, got all damage charms plus dodge, 1st equal M lvl on server for rp and only just got Lvl 427 yesterday I believe. All solo. I am struggling now with level gains though, need a team lol 😆
As a level 907 solo knight, it isn't worth playing anymore in my opinion. I will eventually liquidate all my Tibian asset. And quit this game for good for couple years. And let's see if things turn better after couple years. If not, continue quitting, because CipSoft is no longer as friendly as they used to be initially.

Personally i have more fun in teams, and think that's my essence for playing. i'm flip flopping between noob chars, so never gotten far. But i totally agree with buying a char to have the fun you want to have. Beat the grind, buy locally. ;)
its way harder to find 3 good players to hunt with then simply going to a hunt as in ek and "stoping" in one place and hittitn. if solo hunts were bettter, mages would be left hungry, because why would you deal with a party, if you, the ek, could just make the same exp solo?
I think good teamhunt should be MAX 1.7-1.8 times more exp than good solo hunt (almost 2x), otherwise people will feel HEAVILY discouraged to invest in any preys / exp boosts when playing solo.

i disagree, i think level 600+ is the sweet spot which every vocation can self sustain TCs way more than a guy farming at 300-400 for obvious reasons... more respawns to choose because of your hp pool for mages and speed to avoid monsters change the game for solo players in servers with average population.

I get 10kk/hr with a boost and profit like 300k/hr at goannas with a 685rp easy to lvl solo and make decent money in war currently so rosh and cata are easy traps so I don’t got there much even tho I enjoy those spawns flimsys is also very good xp and profit but I hate hunting stuff that my main atk barley hits seems kind of stuiped that a creature so strong to physical is such good exp for a rp

It already rewarded you, based on the fact you would die without a blocker a healer and some pally's and sorcs. So this isn't rewarding teams, it's punishing solo players.

Agree completely. I've always solo hunted since 1999 lol back when it made sense, but now days if I don't find a group I get about 65% of my TH exp.

you can make 9-10 on orange/raw without any boosts or preys in issavi with a 600 team, you kinda just reinforce exactly what ostabil said in the video
