Formula Vee Summit Point Challenge Cup - Saturday Race 8/21/21

Started 8th and finished 14th in the Formula Vee Summit Point Challenge Cup Saturday race. I made it up to 4th on the first lap, but then spun in turn 3 in oil. Nearly the whole track was covered in oil, much worse than your typical Vee race. It was fun running through the field though and passing as many people as possible though!

Awesome race! Pity about the oil at lefthander catching you and then the last lap turn 1 slide. Otherwise a nice race and comeback...

Good race! Was there oil in Turn 3 (I think we called it 3. The uphill lefthander?) Looked like something caught out a number of cars!

Yes there was a nice 8" wide oil streak right in the line of turn 3. Turn 5 was also really bad.

Hi Chris! This past summer I bought a Formula Vee car from Jeff (forgot his last name), who you may know. I’m finally ready to start racing on April 29-May 1 in the challenge cup, I just haven’t had time to work on the car until now. Any advice and some help on working on my engine would be great, thanks!

Nice, I’ll be at the Mid-Ohio race. Make sure the safety items are up to date and check all the nuts and bolts are tight. Any questions it’s best to ask on the challenge cup Facebook group, that’s where most people are active.
