I really liked this video. I'm absolutely a discovery writer and have no plans to change that, but I like the idea of tracking the B story in my outline. I do make an outline as I go, and it's usually *mostly* filled in by the time I reach the midpoint.

I had no idea that I was starting to make a scene book of my own before I watched this video! I was using a new bullet journal of mine and I was going chapter by chapter. And I find that this YA contemporary WIP is less intimidating then my MG fantasy! I also liked that you said you only have to go "scene by scene"! That was genius! Thank you for this great video! I know I'm commenting a year late but it's still a great video! Thank you!

Okay okay you helped me to clarify some stuff. I think that treating the book as scenes of 500 words first is amazing.
I will start doing this bc it is definetly a better approach a step by ste, little by little process that calms down my distraction tendency. Ihave been performing better lately (since i plotted with a mind map) but this elevates it. Thank you.

I absolutely love this!! I’ve always struggled with writing individual scenes and keeping them relevant to the story - i tend to let my characters wander and do whatever they want, but this method might help me stay in control! trying this!! 😍😍😍😍

It was actually so helpful! I'm more like a panster, but then I'll never finish my book if I don't have an outline. And I'm actually always struggling with scenes in a chapter, especially if I'm at the end of the book. I'm currently outlining mine, but I can't move on, bc I don't know what to put into my chapter. But then I'll definitely try this from now on! Thank you so much for this video!!🥹🫶🏽

The line dividing your steno notebook page immediately made me think of Jennie Nash's Two Tiered Outline method. Have you ever looked into that? Sounds like you're already (sort of) doing it, with the emotional arc on one side, but I found the way she weaves the tiers together so enlightening. Maybe check it out if you haven't heard of it! Great video, btw.

heyy, my issue is that i focus on my characters way more than anything else. they are so deep, i add so many details and growth and stuff but i can’t figure out the best plot or idea. i want the plot to be exciting and meaningfull but i only become super creative with my characters and i end up with so many ideas for the plot but none of them worth writing. im also having trouble with world building, how do i make a fantasy world that is unique but still relatable and understandable? THIS IS SO CONFUSING CAN SOMEONE OFFER ADVICE
