My blind rabbit gets crazy in a carrier, when I go to the Vet I always carry him wrapped in a towel and he stays very calm, its what best works for him. Ellie is so beautiful 😍😍, she looks like my Blanquito 🐇😍😊😘
a new vet clinic just opened and they accept bunnies yay , i took my bun there to check his health and gender , so we finally confirmed he is male and vet says he is healthy and weight is good , im so relieved he is ok

Thank you for this! I rescued a bunny from a friend's sister (she wasn't taking care of him and my friend begged me to help him find a home for the little bun and well I ended up keeping him) and he is going for his first checkup in june!
i wish the rabbit vaccines are available in the usa, i keep hearing about rhdv outbreaks in the country but no vaccines approved/available for it :( also not all rabbit vets can do a molar exam on the rabbit. this is so important to ask before making an appointment especially if you have a small rabbit like netherland dwarf. their mouth is so tiny and its difficult to examine apparently. but you want to make sure the rabbits dental health is ok and there arent overgrown teeth back there.
at the vets jojo is usually happy when he gets to come out of the carrier, he hates the car ride. the vets say he seems so relaxed when they listen to his heart beat. he tolerates a lot of poking and prodding even though he hates it. once had the vet take his temp with rectal thermometer and his reaction when it was over was to demand that she comfort him. and when the vet leave the room he jumps from the table onto my back! hes so silly
Sometimes you have to give them Meds....like for Tilted Head......and make sure everyday you give them their meds...they usually mix it with some sort of sugar like banana. But you gotta make sure they take it. I had my buddy for 10 years but year 2 had to make sure...it was tough but he knew. He was a fine friend who we think lived for 13 years. Captain was his name!

We took our bonded pair of bunnies to the vet. Our girl bunny needed to see the vet, Her husbun (boy) came for the ride. Now they seem to be scared or in shock because they are snuggling together and they do not want to eat. My girl bunny is now on meds. Do bunnies go through shock when they go to the vet?

When bunnies shed their fur, do you think that their diet should be adjusted for additional requirements?

if it is your bunny a girl or. boy?
their normal diet should be fine. lots of hay, fresh water every day
alexandra giselle Thank you for your comment. On occasion some of the fur on rabbit number two pulls tuffs of fur as a result of shedding and the itching that comes with it

for some rabbits this is actually a normal part of seasonal shedding. If there doesn't seem to be any sores or redness and inflammation of the skin underneath the missing fur, then it will probably start to grow back on its own in a few days. If not, then you'll want to make an appointment with your veterinarian to find what the cause is.
