    As a Raiders fan, i promise you that he will really gel with one or 2 of your receivers really well and help them elevate. He did it with Agholor, Crabtree, Amari, Waller, Zay Jones, Renfrow... he legit gets people paid. He's a good leader, solid distributor of the ball, and durable. He's way better than Dalton. I'm excited for the Saints. I'm following them this year.

    The Saints only won one Super Bowl in 15 years of Brees/Payton. Only won 1 NFC championship for that matter. It’s freakin’ hard. Carr at least keeps them competitive for the next couple of years so they can try to figure out the next long term franchise QB. Also gives the front office time to evaluate Dennis Allen to see if he’s the long term solution at coach. Carr gives us the best chance to win now for guys like Cam Jordan, Kamara, and Demario Davis. All of whom realistically only have a couple years left with the team. How do you think they would feel if the team basically punted on the season and brought in someone like Baker Mayfield or brought Dalton back?
    If Carr stinks it up, the Saints can cut bait after 2024. He was the best free agent available though and the Saints went and got him. I’m glad to have a team committed to winning, instead of a dysfunctional org like the Texans.

      With Payton/Brees running the best offense in league history, we should have at least 3 or 4 SB's in the past 15 seasons.
      The reason why it didn't happen is for ONE, we let go too many great defensive players after the SB.....TWO, it took Payton and Gregg Williams about 4 years to realize they needed to invest more into the defense and not just the offense.....that said, they were never able to take advantage of the NFC when most of it's teams were bad while the Saints were good hence the same with Packers.....THREE, when they finally were able to create a prolific defense to balance out with the offense, they unfortunately developed the choking mentality in the PO's...... Starting with both the famous "Minne Miracle" and "egregious no call" against the Rams.
      That has affected them in the same way "28-3" has done the Falcons which caused the winning culture they had slowly faded away.
      It will take damn near a complete rebuild with prolific players to make this team to be one of the NFL's best once again.......WHO DAT?!

    Of Carr's 9 years as starting QB for the Raiders, their offense only averaged less than 18.7 points per game twice. (18.7 is the average points per game the Saints defense gave up in 2022) Carr doesn't NEED elite weapons all around him on offense in order to put up 20 to 25 points. He's done that with Zay Jones or Rod Streater as his WR1. The fact that the Saints have decent players on their offense is just a plus. Interested to see how it goes there. I think the Saints got a punchers chance against almost anyone in the NFC. Eagles, Vikings and Niners are obviously better all around teams, but I think the Saints could be a very tough out for any team in the NFC.

      Can we really say Saints has decent offensive players? O-line was average last year, Olave is our best WR which is nothing to brag about, MT has been gone for the past two years and will probably won't suit up again this year, Kamara will probably face a big suspension...Carr will be our best offensive player this year lol and that's not saying much

    • @patrickfouhy9102
      @patrickfouhy9102 Год назад

      @@ngythe1king I like Olave, he’s one of the better young route runners in the league, got over 1000 yards last year. If he’s willing to put in the work, Carr will get him the ball.
      People always talk about leaders elevating their teammates, I think people forget that most of the receivers Carr has ever had couldn’t even get on the field for other NFL teams. No one wanted Nelson Agholor a few years ago, he put in the work with Carr and had a fantastic season. Zay Jones, same thing. He is comfortable chipping away at defenses if need be, he doesn’t need to rely on the deep ball all the time. Mughal Thomas does seem excited though based on his tweets.
      If the Saints defense can stay consistent like it has the past few years, Carr can lead the offense to enough points to win games.

He led the league in passing and had many fourth-quarter comebacks and was number two in touchdown throws. He just needs a competent OC and a good line to be great. He doesn't need top wide receivers that's just a bonus. It's funny I wanted the Raiders to get Olave so damn bad then we trade for Adams so I was okay with it. Now it looks like I'll get to see Carr throw too Olave after all 😂

      Yeah, they're counting the guaranteed money...it's basically a 3yr 100mill deal...People don't understand that the market dictates the contract...30-35 Mill will be the bargain price for the 2nd tier QBs...Those Elite label guys will be getting 45-50 mill a year and it's only going to go up...Burrow, Hurts, Herbert may all get more than 50!! That's why the Chiefs went ahead and gave Mahommes a contract while he was still in his first contract and before anyone else could give other QB'S money....

      I've been a big Winston fan since he was in college, but he is reckless with the ball. He'll get you a lot of yards, but he doesn't rally a team around him. In 2,835 attempts, Winston threw 96 interceptions. In 4,958 attempts, Carr threw 99. In addition, Winston's had 1 season where he had 9 wins. That year, he had the #15 defense. Carr went 12-3 with the #20 defense and then broke his leg. In 2021, he went 10-7 with the Gruden scandal, the Ruggs car wreck, 26th ranked defense, and a special teams coach. Plus, he's had to play against Mahomes and Herbert, so he's used to playing against elite competition. Even this year, he had his team up 17-0 against the Chiefs before his defense gave up once again, and his coach shut down the offense in the 2nd half.
