Chobani sues Infowars' Alex Jones over dramatic claims

- Greek yogurt giant Chobani says there is no other option but to take conspiracy theorist Alex Jones to court. A lawsuit filed in federal court accuses Jones of making false claims that link Chobani to a spike in tuberculosis and a sexual assault case in Idaho last year. Don Dahler reports.

@@Anthroid9 Uuumm, Chobani actually "voluntarily" recalled batches of their product from stores after conducting "their own" investigation and finding what "may have been" (a mold) 🙄 which was making people sick. Critical thinking is a good thing to practice and apply sometimes.

Actually, Alex won the law suit as usual. The Chobani CEO admitted his own guilt right there on 60 minutes, so he didn't have a leg to stand on.
No he didn't. In a settlement with Chobani, Jones was forced to issue a retraction. Jones chose to settle out of court because it was obvious that he was going to lose.
There are dozens of articles that report Jones settled, apologized, and took down the video. Stop spreading misinformation.

When the CBS interviewer Steve Croft asked Chobani's founder to respond to the claim he had vowed " I want to choke the U.S. with Muslims" the founder responded sheepishly barely audibly " yeah " (raising both arms and laughing.) So what? Well, he didn't deny the claim. So maybe, he's suspect.

What the rip & read network crowd wasn't tought correctly in journalism school is that wire services are polluted with government hacks jousting each other on a nearly continual basis. Toxic combinations of bad statistics, errors of omission and/or outright propaganda either underinform or disinform those who bank on their content to produce their "news" product [whatever medium it is]. Stories are managed all the time to trigger people who can trigger somebody else so the true intended audience will take it/present it seriously. My guess is CNN has been losing this game of musical chairs for a long, long time and is dulled to their own incompetence after so many years of knowing not much else. I do believe that what people are talking about is more important to most political hacks than who is right, or even how its polling - if something isn't being argued, then narrative isn't on the table which torpedoes consensus by default. Alex doesn't have an organization dedicated to mindlessly miming wire service stories, and is therefore independant for better or worse.
