Well, we did have 81 million voters who came out last November. Coming from the country where Nazis established their terror regime with the consent of the majority of the people I am quite thankful that Gen. Milley recognized the historical prarallel. But I am irritated why he did not take action on Jan., 6th.

It’s not often that I say “Thank God for the military,” but there it is. I said it.
There’s an interesting futuristic / science fiction movie titled “The Fifth Element” sort of done in a French farce style written by Luc Besson. Society had devolved to a clueless citizenry, over bearing police, an idiot president and only the military preventing everything from coming apart at the seams. It is interesting to look back at that 30 or so year old film and see that it foreshadowed what we are experiencing in real life.

those Generals and Admirals should scare you. They were hand-picked by Obama , in order to thwart any Domestic Uprisings. Their Litmus Test was whether or not they would be willing to have American Troops open fire, on US Citizens. They have forgotten their Duty. Not the opposite.

Why are so many people sure that there hasn't already been a coup? Just because there arent tanks rolling in DC doesn't mean our government hasn't been compromised by anti american sentiment and ideas.

However, it is likely naive to think that there was some perfect order before 2016 and that after there was some radical new thing that arose, a coup. Its unfortunate that we will likely not come to the same conclusion even though we are looking at the same thing.

The right wing has been showing fascist tendencies for some time now, their disregard for who actually won the election is not new, look at what happened with the Brooks Brothers riots in 2000. They ARE becoming more and more militant in their fascism though, thanks in large part to Trump. It was a weak attempt at a coup, but they will likely try again, and it's unfortunate that so many people are coming to different conclusions because what you're looking at on the right is the definition of fascism, and it doesn't get more anti American than that.
