Guys, I witnessed Roman at the London Watch Show meeting and greeting the fans all day long. People queuing to say hello and have selfies taken. Roman is a pure class act, he didn’t have to do that but it blew me away that he did.

I used to know a couple of small watch dealers (especially vintage) and they used to invite me anytime there was a (watches&antiques) trade show here in my country (Romania). Every time it ended up with a nice dinner with all of them, talking watches in a friendly atmosphere. This episode reminded me all of that. Thank you! Cheers from a romanian watch nerd. 👍

I then wanted to trade it in toward a much more expensive watch. They tried low balling me for my watch. I do this to get a feel for the business. Bob's to me now, feels like I am dealing with a used car lot.

6 months ago I could have cared less about a watch. Haven’t wore one in over 5 years. That being said I find Roman inspiring. The passion he has shows thru with every hand he shakes and every piece of advice he gives. I may never have a nice watch and that’s ok with me. But I hope I find something in my life where I can share as much knowledge and have that kind of impact. Truly a class act

@@yankeesandgiants1886 Roman has told this particular story before, though maybe in a Q&A video. My guess is he knew that the guy's estate could not cover the matter through insurance, and as he said it didn't feel right to him to sue the widow over it. He and his partners are pretty old school Russian guys and I think they all saw it as a situation where it would not be appropriate to make a fuss, and they just took it on the chin. Great business? No. But Roman's only responsibility is to his fellow partners and if they all agree to take the hit, then that's their choice if they feel that they'd rather have a clean conscience.

This is how i see it: A Justice League of Watches (or the Avengers of Watches, what have you...) with Watch Eric, Nico, Anthony, the wolves of watch streets, Carlos from CRM, the guys at Watch Traders & co, David Khalil, etc... as Superheroes, i mean captains and, of course, Roman as Batman, i mean the leader. Paul Thorpe and Spencer would be like Nick Fury and the Martian Manhunter. That oisin guy, that we all know and love, Adrian from Scotland and the beautiful Jenni Elle could be , like.... the TV series Superheroes that come and help (and most likely steal the show). Maybe Anthony is like Wolverine, going rogue or something... but then coming back stronger than ever. And obviously, Kevin O'Leary, aka Mr Wonderful, is the mad vilain with, let's say... Teddy Baldassarre as his sidekick or minion. Maybe Watch Gringa is like catwoman. You never know if she's good or evil. Could be both. Have to have a promise of a love story between Jenni and Anthony, though. Could be heartbreaking (with jenni trying to reason Anthony, like Padme and Anakin in Star Wars). And Anthony going: "I'm not the watch dealer i should be". Him and Roman must clash. Like Iron Man and Captain America. Wait... Roman is Batman, not Captain America. Now i mixed myself up... Shoot. Zack Snyder must direct. And have a special cut. And Producer Michael, of course, is the Joker.
