Ah, sorry. I just wrote out a giant reply about how the laws of physics make this image completely impossible, but I _should_ be saying that this is a good analogy.
Nope the force of torque on the side with the bigger weight is much greater than the side with the smaller weight because from the point of contact with the (plank) we can see the distance from the smaller weight is much shorter than the distance from the bigger weight and from T=F•L (f in this case is mass • gravitational acceleration and L is the distance from the point of contact) we can clearly see that this plank will tilt counter clockwise
There is physics, and then there is metaphor, and when they combine, sometimes they reveal paradoxes. And this is the one I discovered as I pondered the image. For me it was and is powerful.
