School doesn't have to be full of only the most intellectual people, it is in fact the variety of people that you meet that helps you grow as a person and stay open minded, we all hold priority to different things, whether its the quest for knowledge, faith, sports, community, music, etc. You can't just say he stole it from someone who deserved it more than him. Plus the power of belief and confidence goes a long way, maybe its not completely necessary but it sure helps. Also being religious does not mean you have lack of intellectual curiosity, there are many people including myself that question their faith in the pursuit of better understanding.
