I’ve had mine for about a year and a half and love it. The reason you ended up with a meringue is because you let it set instead of pouring it right away. The milk separated and that’s why your initial pour gave you the more watery milk and left the foam behind. To solve this all you have to do is turn the Miroco back on and remix and refoam for a few seconds, or make your espresso first and foam second. Good luck
I just opened my Miroco Frother & came to RUclips to see how it is used...Markings inside container soooo tiny with magnifying glass I could not read them...but once understood the first MAX is 4 oz....you made this super simple to use. I can't wait to try tomorrow... Thank you very much for a super clear easy to understood tutorial on the frothers you used ! i found this at goodwill brand new and i just tried it and i love it so much it’s super simple, and i tried it with creamer and it worked as well, i got it for like $12!! whatta good find
I’ve had this thing for a year and could not figure it out!! Milk was splashing everywhere. I finally just put it in the cabinet and forgot about it … YOU have now shown me how to operate this thing lol thank you
I only have a 4 cup French press and didn't want the faff of heating the milk and pressing it. I just got this product today and had my first coffee with it. I love the ease and simplicity of it, makes a great creamy froth and has improved my coffee experience :) I actually don't mind the cleaning process, just give a quick little swirl of water when your done and pour it out
I've had this frother for 4 years. The easiest way to determine how much milk to add is by using the paddle that you insert in the bottom as a guide. Either the plain paddle (for warmed milk only) or the paddle with the mesh (for cold or warm froth) has a flat knob on the top for ease in attaching or removing. Add milk so that the top of that knob is visible. If you cover it with milk and froth too long, it WILL overflow from the top of the frothing pitcher. Using FAT FREE organic milk makes superior froth to whole or reduced fat milk!
Thank you for this review. I was on the fence with this purchase because I don’t want another thing on the counter. It really helped me to see how you were able to froth your milk the second time and it came up as good. I agree with your opinion, that even though it’s a nice machine, it’s really not necessary to get those results in other ways. Thank you-
Very helpful. After realizing its is best to go seperates on devices naturally frothers was my first "research topic" to me its the most important part. is desired temperature and smoothness of milk.
I’ve had my Miroco frother for years and it still looks new. I don’t think it’s inconvenient at all. I turn the spray on my faucet lightly, use the brush that came with it to scrub the milk, and wipe it down with a microfiber. Takes two minutes tops. I use it with my Italian espresso maker most mornings and the whole process takes about 5 minutes. Couldn’t be easier. We also use the frother for hot chocolate which comes out perfect.
I bought this off marketplace for $7. Still new. Best score ever. For me the main purpose is to heat the milk. I like my morning coffee hot. Adding cream cools it too much. I, too, have the ninja coffee maker. I love both of these machines.
came online to find out how to use because i couldnt find the instruction manual, and really just wanted to make cold foam. Thanks to the comments found out how. I didnt have a problem seeing the markings at all. If you want to make a latte vs a capuccino, you may want to use a spoon to lift up the foam as you pour to get the heated milk out and then spoon the foam on top. Other posters have said what the issue is as well with you making the espresso after. I'm sure you did separate so that the noise wasn't happening while you filmed..or so the espresso wasn't cold, but the separation won't happen as much if you do that. I also dont have a problem washing...rinse..take out the whisk ('spring thingy") wipe down, rinse again...easy pasy.
Man at the beginning of this I was thinking, this fella just needs better lighting in his prep area then you moved it away from your sink to your actually well lit prep area. I bet over there by your DeLonghi where your lighting isn't poor you don't have any problems seeing the lines. As other comments mention your meringue effect is from letting it sit there too long. You probably made the foam then made the coffee to put it on then poured the foam from the looks of the video... Which is why you got that much liquid milk coming out from the bottom. All the liquid came from letting it sit way too long before pouring the foam and gave the foam a chance to set up and turn dense. Using your coffee machines you wouldn't do it that way, you'd make the foam last... Same needs to happen here. Also this thing is super easy to clean if you do it the same way I hope you're doing the blender and running a cycle of water through it (and drop of soap where appropriate). Going from blending directly to a dishwasher is how you end up with bacterial soapy junk from under the blades in your subsequent blend you don't see but is there. Just fill this thing up with water and run it, dump it and maybe another quick rinse and it's done. Far less work to clean this than to jack a French press up and down, save that trick for impressing people while camping. In short I understand your grievances with this product but they are just a result of probably not fully understanding this stuff and I bet if you take some of the pointers here and in other comments you'd find like I have that this is a great product, especially for those of us doing pour over Chemex style coffee without a machine that has a steamer. Full disclosure I had the same exact issues with it you do until I had someone over for a weekend who was previously a barista who schooled me right and got me using it correctly. Thanks for sharing. I got mine in and all it did was make the milk slightly bubbly. I used almond milk and filled it to the 4 oz line. I think the machine I got was a dud. I’m so disappointed because it seems to work so good for you! I purchased mine off of Amazon, I wonder if that is why it didn’t work properly.
@@michaelerbreviews hi! It does spin rapidly. I used the disc that was already installed. I will try the other one and see if it is any better. Thanks!
I think this type of frother has limitations compared to froth developed by steam. I’ve never been able to get the finer microbubbles necessary for that.
Product doesn't work well for me. If using "froth and heat," by the time it got done heating, the froth disappears and the milk goes flat. If you just chose "froth" setting then the milk has to be cold.
Why didn't you use the lid while frothing? Also it turned thicker because you left it sitting, mine comes out thick but not as thick as yours. I came here to see if I was doing it wrong I want a flat white consistency but this only does cappuccino, if you cancel it early the milk isn't as heated
I didn't use the lid because I didn't see a downside to not using it. I could have swirled the foam which would have mixed the more liquid part underneath the thick top layer resulting in a less thick foam.

Sometimes, depending on what you put in it, it will caramelize the sugars for certain products. My wife prefers fat free half and half (odd I know). Not exactly similar. Starbucks Baristas use a steam wand inserted into milk to make a micro-froth. This makes a froth but in a different way. Some people would never know the difference but on the other hand, purists might prefer the steam wand method. As far as a "Starbucks milk frother", I don't know anything about it. Whatta mess
#Reviews, turorals tech is this very simlar to starbucks
Not exactly similar. Starbucks Baristas use a steam wand inserted into milk to make a micro-froth. This makes a froth but in a different way. Some people would never know the difference but on the other hand, purists might prefer the steam wand method. As far as a "Starbucks milk frother", I don't know anything about it. If it has a spinning disc in the bottom, then it's probably the same type as this one.
