Big Blues fan myself, definitely some staples here. I’m from Mississippi so we grow up hearing alot about the importance of the blues. Im currently compiling a pre-war collection on cd/vinyl.

You have a fantastic collection of The Blues. I've been a Blues fan since I was 10 years old. Everyone you showed and mentioned I listen too. Everyone. Elmore James and Johnny Winter my favorite slide players. James Cotten harps master. Really enjoyed this video brother.

Lots of enviable blues records here Martin. I picked up a John Mayall twofer record this week. The Turning Point backed with Empty Rooms. I went through a Blues period a few years ago. I found that some of the early blues was quite hypnotic. A terrific band I can recomend is one simply called The Blues Band. Paul Jones, the original singer of Manfred Mann sings with them. Thier second album called 'The Blues Band Official Bootleg Album' was released in 1980 and is a blast of energetic blues. Well worth checking out. The oposite end of the spectrum is of course the Muddy Waters album Folk Singer. So layed back. Cheers

Hey Martin. Appreciate your love and enthusiasm for the blues. Been collecting for years. Pretty much limit my buys to pre 1975 recordings, and don’t often buy anything that includes white musicians. But that’s just my preference, everyone has their own tastes. I recommend you check out Buddy Guy and Junior Wells early work, either together or their solo albums. I was fortunate enough to see Muddy and the Wolf in club appearances back in the day. Cheers mate.

Love Buddy Guy!!! “Damn Right I got the blues, from head down right to my shoes”.
Would of loved to have seen Muddy on stage. I actually can’t think of any good blues guys I would want to see in stage at the moment, that is alive and well.
But I agree with your comment about white musicians, but I can’t deny that I think Peter Green is amazing.

@@martinsvinyl1985 Buddy is the last of the ordinals standing, and if he tours near you definitely worth seeing while you can. Wasn’t trying to slag the white guys. Peter Green is amazing.
