When he was on the Mogul Moves live show he expected the crowd to not even know who he was but then had the whole crowd barking for him. He is the most underrated crowd favorite
1:19:30 Nick saying he had "never taken a risk" in his life, after earlier talking about how he would take up jobs claiming that he knew how to do something and then learning it on the spot, it is so funny lol.... We are so hard on ourselves and oblivious of the insane things we do.
I guess he meant that he never took a risk that wasn't in his control. Like when overpromising, it was on all him and his responsibility. When he was speaking about Mogul Moves, it just wouldnt have been his own decision if it'd work out
I've been going to tournaments for nearly 8 years. Played a few times with Nick here and there as we'd see each other occassionally at Cal Poly. And this is how I learned his tag is Envy cus of his initials. My god
I’ve never been more excited to watch a podcast Have I ever heard of this podcast? No Have I ever watched anything of Nicholas Falco except the yard? No Did I just, after watching the yard from like episode 10, realise nick has been carrying with the funniest shit and one liners this whole time? For sure Am I aggressively high? Ya Thanks for the content
as for what nick was talking about at the end, about how people will just kinda watch anything, no matter how much effort a creator put in... that's kinda true, i suppose, but i think people only *rewatch* stuff that's great. there's so much content that is in one ear, out the other. but when something is made with a ton of effort and creativity, it doesn't leave my mind, and I'll come back to it many times, if i love it. there's so much content I've watched that I'll probably never even think of again, but i definitely know the stuff that stood out to me. i think that's the difference
That ending quote was just so.... interesting. Like I think that's what a lot of people or some people want and that kinda sums up most of the vibe from this episode. It feels like Nick just wants to make a difference or an impact, which is basically what he said at the end and for a portion of the episode, and that is great because he definitely already has been a minor or major part of many people's lives, as a lot of content creators do. I feel like that's a very selfless aspiration or life goal to have and it's interesting to see this perspective from someone else.
Amazing pod. Also, the absolute PHENOMENAL irony that the speech Nick mentioned that Ludwig does is, as he noted, from a Will Smith movie. Which movie you ask? ...HITCH. LMAO
I was really into Nick's discussion about how finding something he was passionate about created an avenue for him to better himself and his health because it was all something to nurture his creativity--whereas before he had degen sleep hours and health. Something I struggle with considering I have a lack of passion for really anything (I'm a student-teacher and do care about my students and work, but its not pure passion really, hard to explain), and it expresses itself in not properly managing my health since I don't have a drive to. Having that thought expressed is making me actively consider it all more and I'm really happy he brought my attention to the idea, despite how "duh" obvious it is like he mentioned
I watch the Yard because I actually feel like every person there is giving it their all. Constantly playing it off like it's all off the cuff dumb homie jokes, but it resonates because the sarcasm comes through. That's how I know it's good content is because y'all sell it so good we all get to be in on the joke. Not saying this is your magnum opus, but you put a bunch of actual real human beings together and everything you say makes sense to my smol brain. Y'all throwing slop at the piggies 😂 I'll eat that slop any day and I really respect Nick as an individual.
The overlap of gamer and Yard watcher has probably become smaller the bigger they've gotten. But like for sure when they first started a vast majority were some kind of gamer
Nick to me is just as insightful as he comes across!! It’s great to hear his thoughts, creative visions and desires and how it’s impacted his life! It’s convinced me think about doubts and fears I have in my own life too! Thank you for this
I could tell that at times Nick kind of just wanted to drop the questions and shoot the shit but I'm glad you kept him on track, he said a lot of really insightful and interesting stuff that I don't think he really gets the space to do on a comedy podcast with four people
Based on the thumbnail alone it’s funny that the strait edge dude is on a podcast with the word BAR in the title. We love nick he is effortlessly cool.
I love this. I been an optic fan since blops 1. Fell off watching a few years ago after blops 4. Started watching Ludwig lil before covid and a few weeks ago when nick was talking about hitch inviting him to a cod tourney and got hyped. Now this. Please more. Idk what but anything
I think Nick is in a situation where his consistent zingers (seriously) on such a hit podcast have positioned himself in the minds of a large population of his audience as just “funny, chill, witty guy”. So then when his personality, branded in this way, doesn’t align with that idea in others people’s minds (times where he directs a shoot, film, etc. and puts it out to the public) it doesn’t connect with those people who just want funny joke
Crazy because I honestly didn't know who Hitch was until now because I'm not super big into the CoD esports community, but I came here for Nick and really enjoyed it. Actually a pretty chill seeming guy.
its really cool hearing nick's opinion on the way BTS didn't really have the most optimal youtube content setup cause thats honestly one of the reasons i struggled to keep up with their preproduced smash stuff since the channel was vods of summit events, individual sets, sketches/edited vids and then sets from other tournaments is that it made it really difficult to find the scripted stuff.
First time I heard Aiden's surname was when it was spoken aloud in full during the Zach Oyama episode And now I have seen Nick's surname for the first time - not the most expected place
I am the Mom that Nick speaks of! Thanks for the shout out Nick! Love my Yard guys!
how does it feel to have raised one of the greatest podcast hosts of all time
@@mayhemilyyshe’s not his mom 😭
@@mayhemilyy I am not Nick’s Mom! He mentioned the mom who is a fan. That is me!

He's just so effortless

Aiden makes an appearance? This just got that much better
Didn’t see zipper but oh well

I heard after this podcast, Nick has vowed to never cheat on anyone ever. Brave and cool.
One much needed clarification: after the podcast was POSTED, not from the moment it was filmed. Still very admirable and brave of him though.
1:19:30 Nick saying he had "never taken a risk" in his life, after earlier talking about how he would take up jobs claiming that he knew how to do something and then learning it on the spot, it is so funny lol.... We are so hard on ourselves and oblivious of the insane things we do.
