Important: This door only works in minecraft java edition 1.16 - (latest release) and use wooden button. If the ladder doesn't go down. ruclips.net/video/HqHJ7Kg6q6M/видео.html
currently playing on java 1.20.4 and it work perfectly for those who have problem with the door being too fast : be sure to use wooden button and not an other kind of button for those on bedrock : rip
Same, so I put a redstone block with another piston to the side so when it moves up, it will pick up. The only thing is that after I flip a lever to open it, I then double click the lever again to make it open all the way.
@@skylinetrauma8477 Place all the parts down like Mecanift did in his video, and then dont forget a block on the observer facing down, otherwise the redstone signal doesnt work. After you placed it down activate the signal and it should work. Make sure you put everything in the same order as Mecanift does, (you need to play in the JAVA edition). If it doesnt work let me know :D
seems i'm not the only one having problems, this isn't working in bedrock either. 2 of the 3 pistons stay up blocking the opening with the steps. also doesn't stay open long enough.
Only problem is any human being that is visiting the world will see the button and push it. So it’s not going to be a secret. Solution: put carpet over it, and in one spot, put scaffolding down to go further down. Put some bull crap “loot” to make intruder think “This is what they wanted to hide?” And then they leave.
Another Solution: Use buttons as decorative blocks around your builds and make sure to put them at every stair case, then have your hidden room somewhere further back so intrudes would be bored of checking all the buttons by the time they get there :)
Either i am profoundly stupid or redstone does not work for ne the same way it does everyone else I have been trying for 10 years tondo this followed countless step by step instructions amd it has never worked they way it should Its infuriating
@@reneekhsoj yeah ok so on bedrock red stone doesn’t work like it does in Java most builds do not work and when they do they are usually the extremely complicated ones so when looking up a build just put bedrock at the end

Me on mobile but playing on java using pojav launcher Minecraft version 1.16.5 60 fps no lag and it worked perfectly on multiplayer
The second sticky piston isnt sticking to the stair, 😢

ik this is really late but if you put a piece of redstone on the observer that is facing down it would activate the piston
@@matthewmejias8105 thx! i’ll try to do that 😁

the pinned comment is saying it only works in java NOT bedrock, cant you read?

if door closes too fast adding a capacitor(made from comparators) would make it stay for longer

You can't phase through carpet.

Or just remove the button when you don’t need it?
the middle piston wont go down
Tried this 20 times java edition. Has never worked

Mecanift as un video de la mi escaleras secretas pero para bedrock
when I tried it the pistons move faster even the I put them on full delay how do I make the piston door hold a bit longer? also im in java
Hello, you can use levers, instead of the redstone torch put a redstone dust . and swap buttons for levers.
@@mecanift is there no solution so i can keep using buttons? i play on a server and a lever isnt very hidden
i figured it out, i tried using it with a stone button which went to fast then when i switched to a wooden button it for some reason worked perfectly
@@AlmightyHonkis Thanks. I already understood why it doesn't work for some.
How do I slow it down?

me funciono en bedrock
en la 1.19
why does it only work with a wooden button?
Stone buttons make it close too fast and open too slow
Mine too
you need to plan it before you build it
Ok I did what you did but when I do it it doesn’t do what you’re does
It doesn't work like this anymore, but a similar system can still be made, its bigger but it works.
