He was ruling with a regency council then. Would he have made those decisions as a king ruling on his own? I think this is Edward Seymour in this scene.
@@gidzmobug2323 By that point Edward Seymour (now called Lord Somerset) had been trying to cut out the rest of the regency council and rule on his own, had spent an inordinate amount of tax money (during a poor harvest no less) on building a personal house, then had badly handled a whole year of popular rebellions over enclosures, prayer books and various other problems well beyond the scope of this romantic drama. When he realised the rest of the council where plotting to oust him him he fled to Windsor castle with Edward, a much colder, less comfortable military fortress than what he had grown up in- he had already cut the boy's allowance and moved several of his favourite courtiers and servants away from him in an attempt to keep him to himself. By this time Edward was 12 and no longer naive. He publicly denounced Somerset's actions- almost certainly of his own accord, and being the King it was impossible for Somerset to really do much about it. he surrendered and was actually brought back in to the fold for a while, but it became clear he was planning another coup and was executed. while Edward may have not had the final say, from what I see he wasn't completely uninvolved either- and was considered really very precocious when it came to governing- by this point I think he hated Somerset, or at best didn't care. Not to mention the other brother- who was helping Edward Seymour certainly molested Elizabeth when she was in his care, which Edward had probably found out about at that point.
@@gidzmobug2323 Yes, King would make those decisions himself. His uncle was his Lord Protector for a time. His other uncle tried to kidnap him and shot his pet dog dead. Edward VI signed there death warrants.
The uncle Edward later had executed. Both uncles in fact.

@adfaelma i know, but i heard the emperor of china called his own uncle that as well (Romance of the 3 Kingdoms)
Wow total disrespect right there wasn’t he supposed to bow to the prince 👑
He did refer to Edward as "Your Highness".
He did kneel
The reason the scene was deleted lol.
Why?
Probably time constraints. Episodes were about an hour long.
Children actor name? So cute
