WE GOT NEWS EVERYONE. Personally I'm really liking what they showed off today - but how are you all feeling about it?
Not entirely sure about the burst mechanic being only available per 2 characters available
but regardless looks even better this time around the graphic style is even more stylized
the movement, combo game play is a bit slowed down then last year but it makes total sense.
with all these ways to move around I think it's a smart change. I perfer a pace where I have time
to think of some mind games and cleaner execution rather then hitting 8 buttons in 1.5 seconds looking flashy and cool.
All I know is that I am getting mixed up just by the handshake tag alone lol.
I suck at fighting games but can see me actually putting time into this. The DBFZ style of not breaking my giant ass monkey hands trying to do basic inputs really opens the game to me. The mechanics they showed all seem interesting in their own way, burst being locked if your missing a character might be a little snowball-y if someone gets an early lead, but the myriad of defense options we were should may prevent that. Still speaking from a bozo's point of view but seems cool to me.
Honestly, I prefer this tempo. I was never a big fan of jabbing in the air 3 times to extend etc. I am a BBTag player as well and I *really* enjoy that here we actually get to see beautiful animations when people are getting hit every time. This looks much cooler and way less chaotic. I believe the game will be like this simply because it will have a lot more clarity for new players.
The actual hard part of this game is 100% going to be the movement, I think this movement exceed many tag-based fighters in terms of freedom. It looks like you actually chase people and can whiff if they do things fast enough which is not the case for tag fighters with smaller stages, this game has pretty big stages so you can move a lot.
I agree exactly with what your saying, spot on my dude. Im glad they went this route as well, should be a lot more approachable for newbies and like you said the visually clarity imo will be great for actually spectating as well
im in the same boat as you, im a fighting game player but i have never liked that much tag based fighting games, i liked some of them i like the idea but never played that much, but im excited to play this game and i hope to see qiyana on it
Thanks man! They are great for sure and I think it makes a lot of sense for a League property especially to be one, but definitely add a huge layer of complexity if your not used to it. Im guessing its a big way for them to add depth because of no motion inputs as well
Although the combos do look slower in the previews, often times the ultra difficult moves take a little while to find after the game comes out. DBFZ's original combos on release were not that difficult, but the jump cancelling combos, and the Sparking OTK's came after people had time to lab the game more. From the looks of it, I think this game will be very high in the combo counter. There are so many movement options and ways to extend the combo, this is just scratching the surface. But this is what it's meant to be like for fighting games which allow for individuality and expression. People can pick combo routes they prefer, which allows for some ultra sweaty 1 frame link combos, or some still very cool - but less difficult and less damaging combos.
As an example, street fighter 6 during the beta looked kinda low combo count & speed in general, until people released the training mode footage and suddenly it looks mega crazy.
Yea that makes sense and I would totally agree games usually get a bit more wild once people get their hands out it for a while to figure things out
I LOVE IT!!!!!! Now i need Sett to be in the game
Agreed my boy, absolutely agreed.
Sett and Samira
Honestly i don't need to be sold on the game anymore, i just can't wait to play it.
also hopefully they'll start giving more frequent updates instead of waiting almost half a year between them
Agreed, I am ready. And I think we will start getting more frequents personally, I cant imagine they ghost us another 6 months again it just seems like we arre past that point now in development
Darius looks the most polished yet, not sure if its because of the stage or he actually got more animation frames. New Jinx design looks early but cool (the Cable beams sure are hype), Ahri's new GFX also look very early.
Probably the only thing I'm not okay for now is the SFX - the hits don't sound impactful enough.
Also, the combo length feels perfect - not too short, not too long. Movement is amazing. Wonder if there would be low-hitting assists :3
Agreed Darius looks great and your right Jinx absolutely has some major cable vibes. I think everything is still going to be polished up a bit so hopefully that will tune the sound and particle effects more and more ass they go. But yea, the combos are about perfect in my book. Long enough to be flashy but not infinite and exaggerated - Just right.
lightning speed upload omg Bruiser
if I cant be the best, I gotta at least be fast. lol
@@BruiserMinion You do be the best tho, I absolutely love watching your videos
just when you uploaded your video for Lux, they uploaded their reveal. either way, see you next year for the next update
Yea exactly. Seeya on launch day 2025 lol
In regard to losing burst - Thats a huge part of bbtag meta baiting bursts or killing a character outright to disable it entirely.
I do find it quite interesting it's seemingly tied to your other character (Like you said akin to BBtag) Make it super punishing to lose your other character, I like that though
@@BruiserMinion It really incentivizes playing around swapping chars back and forth so they both are as healthy as possible at any given time, I wonder if there will be red health that passively regens
We're eating good today
Yessssir, im hyped actually this was a solid update.
Looks solid! Still missing Galileo, puros, and a release date :(
Wheres ahri q? Jinx is punching more than shooting
Looks like they were playing second impact not 3s but wow, they got all the right foundation, knowledge and skill building up
this game is going to be next gen for fighting games.
Oh yea I think your right on that 2nd impact good eye my dude, but absolutely im loving everything so far and cant wait to see how the game goes from here
@@BruiserMinion hell ya man Cheers!
The skullgirls fan in me is hyped
Oh yea, for sure! Ive been wanting to play SG a lot lately already this definitely confirms I need to put more time into that game.
@@BruiserMinion but also I am a complete noob when it comes to fighting games so I am just hopping for an open community on project L to make it easier to learn stuff
The game is looking hype. I can’t believe I’m excited for something League of Legends related. The original game couldn’t do it, but Arcane was what got me into the franchise. And now this will make me wanna dive deeper. Let’s go!
Yea I think there are a fair amount of people much more interested because of Arcane which is great to see, I can totally understand not being into league but the potential for a game based on the world and IP is definitely there
Very happy about this update, but dang it, I wish they waited until the Game Awards for a bigger reveal. But I'll take it. I believe they can still include 1v1 as an option. My wish list for the character roster is 50 characters at launch. If not, then 30.
Lol, in 4 months they made 30% of one character and you want 30 or 50 at launch? That way game will be releases in 2035. I don't think more than 12 characters is reasonable at this point.
I doubt 50-30 Probably 20-25 at most. I'd say 15 to be expected.
lol, if you want 50 then see you after 2 years. even LOR took a while before it got 50 champions.
Yea Personally im thinking about 20 makes sense
The Game Hasn't Been Released Yet, Nor An Open Beta Version And People Are Already Making Teir List And Roster Predictions On Who Get To Be In Game. And I'm Just For It. 😅 🙃🙂
The hype is real, what can I say. lol
Is it available on mobile?
Hasnt been shown to be yet, but personally I think there will be a version made for mobile!
Wait wait wait you're not an actually P/o'd blue minion I'm shocked
Sorry to disappoint my dude, hits me every time I look in the mirror too.... 😔
Its likely going to have 1 shared health bar like SFxT so if one char dies you lose.
Yea I was actually curious about that. Personally I would prefer the other way going until each character is down. Wasn’t a a huge fan of the one down win in Tekken Tag 2 myself
the graphics kekw
Yea there were a few spots that clearly looked still work in progress, but I do like the visual style - and the stuff that is clearly further into development like Ekko I think looks great personally
First
Btw love the vidioes
