Even as unrealistic as this is, it made me realize how much more shitty I could've been if my moral compass were any lower. I suffer anger issues and violent intrusive thoughts, and was neglected, and I could've been so much worse if I'd decided one day to act on those thoughts.

@@nekomataumbreon I don’t have any experience much with those things, but I’ve learnt about it around me.. so I have a basic understanding of issues like those- that’s why I had hoped I wasn’t to exaggerating it to much - or unrealistic about it 😅 ( as for the void stuff .. yeah that’s more noncanon to the actual lore of rainworld.. - I actually came up with the idea cause when I played rainworld I’d sometimes clip out of bound into the unknown, so I’d have to restart the game 💀)

I'm not really gonna go too deep on their lore. So they are The Catalyst, from a miniforce x Rain world Au I made. They are Somewhat connected to Saint in a way that lets Saint possess them.
I have an oc I constantly think about whenever I watch or read any sort of media. They are the most overpowered type thing of course as usual. They can do absolutely everything and in their standard form they are a black blob but can shape-shift. They usually end up solving the problems, miscommunications, and racial standards of the main characters in any story until I realized that that was stupid and instead made them a sort of a dealer. Sure, you can get superpowers but it will cost you an arm and a leg, literally. They also use an Inscription game and buckshot roulette as payment, if the oc loses, the askers gets their deal, if the asker loses they just stay dead or get turned into a card. They are also a self insert and are pretty much just me but augmented. They do solve problems, make friends with main character, and just do things for fun. They also crave release from immortality because they used to be just me but got turned into the blob for whatever reason. The name of the oc? It’s “I haven’t gotten to that part yet.” I also realized that they were heavily influenced by me being ink/error sans and exploring worlds(cringey I know) and a RUclipsr called “Twomanyraptors.”
With Monk's new desire to conquer the multiverse, peared into the seemingly infinite windows to gain a better understanding of what they're up against. What Monk saw made gave them a hatred more intense than thought possible. In almost every timeline they were happy, living in peace with Survivor one way or another. What was worse was that they were weak. All of them were pathetic in almost every way. That needed to change, all will know the pain only they felt.
I like how Monk's anger culminates into the end product, as he is not evil innitially and just spirals down really hard, further and further from any chance of redemption
Monk messed up the cycles so hard that even sofanthiel became canon Also one persin in reddit tried to fight against the strongest scavenger with monk was ironically the only one who could beat the scavenger...
Pretty bad, scavengers keep coming and asking for a million things at once, I just thow a bomb, ( just remember it has my slugcat oc what lives in the void in it :) )

Honestly, I really like the idea. I’ve suffered a lot from constant intrusive thoughts, and I’ve always wondered, what would happen if I followed through? If my moral compass was just a little bit lower. What if I sleepwalked, would I listen to them then? What if the intrusive turned to compulsion, or I subconsciously followed them when angry, without thinking first? Intrusive thoughts are scary, and you managed to capture that fear of “what if” perfectly. (Also I love the idea of monk being pissed with his siblings ending up causing a butterfly effect that caused them to attempt to conquer the entire universe)
I need survivor to rally the echos and actually gain Saint's powers. The plot point of Saint's powers felt unfinished. ;-; Edit: basically make Survivor just as much as a demigod as Monk, or as I will now be calling them: Banana with Black Mushy Spots.
Since I have yet to make my "haha wow back spear"comment here, wait how was this sentence gonna b- So I forgot to mention that, my play style was SO aggressive, that I actually installed a mod that would let me have back spears and a mod that let all slugcats eat meat. I then chose Monk. Feel like that was a pretty big detail to leave out of my other "Monk with back spear" comments. Also yes, I try my best to kill everything I come across. I'm like Artificer if my slugpups died to everything but scavengers. I think I need help. 😃 (Also you can hold 3 spears at once when you have access to a back spear. Search it up! It makes Hunter runs much easier.)

This is a wonderful video I really like this (rain) world alt you made, many may find it weird but rain world is not a kids game by any means. Though I feel like gourmand our artificer could solo monk easily

( I used the out of bounds in my experience- I would often was unable to just clip back into the game and my slugcat would just randomly die after a bit of being lost in there )
honestly there are times where I thought the black noses were mouths and it made for some interesting looks lmao edit: had to watch this on 1.5 speed cause the voice was so slow I was already done with each sentence the second they appeared lol
The out of bounds void was actually based off a bug I would deal with anytime I played rainworld - where my slugcat would just disappear out of the world leaving me with a screen of just the game but with my slugcat just gone under the void of nothingness (I don’t know much about owl house- so funny how I made something similar XD)
Apologies if this criticism is unwanted, I just wanted to speak up about this though !! I think this AU is pretty neat, but I’m a bit uncomfortable with how it all starts off. As someone who struggles with a lot of mental illnesses and intrusive thoughts, it feels like you’re demonizing people who struggle with it. Of course I know that wasn’t your intention, it’s just a little off putting. A lot of mentally ill people in media are portrayed in this crazy murderer light and it’s a very harmful stereotype! Intrusive thoughts also have a lot of bad rep. The main thing though is that these thoughts are unwanted and a person who suffers with them does NOT want to act on them. Otherwise, they would be called impulsive thoughts. This makes people think that those struggling with intrusive thoughts might actually act on them, which is horribly wrong and furthers the demonization. Personally, I would feel more comfortable if Monk was just a little twisted for funsies instead of being mentally ill, but this is your AU and I won’t force you to change anything if you don’t want to! It kinda all started when I would jokingly make Monk meaner than what others usually made Monk out to be. After a bit I remember seeing a map once about Saint being evil- and thought to myself. What if I made an evil slugcat? And the first thing that popped into my mind was Monk. ( after that I started building a story for Monk- and deciding just how evil Monk would be..) Ehh, the story is interesting, but like... just feels a little too rushed. The powers of Saint barely does anything to further the plot, the thing about the void makes not much sense, nor does saint coming back so early, or the cycles even being able to be messed up. As well as the exploring other worlds part. I'm struggling to think of how monk escaped the void, it was just like "and now monks out" with no explanation of how, other than will power? I don't know why saint or survivor with saints powers couldn't just ascend monk, perminantly killing them. And none of saints powers really do anything to survivor, besides giving him eyes :/

What exactly inspired evil monk?
It kinda all started when I would jokingly make Monk meaner than what others usually made Monk out to be. After a bit I remember seeing a map once about Saint being evil- and thought to myself. What if I made an evil slugcat? And the first thing that popped into my mind was Monk. ( after that I started building a story for Monk- and deciding just how evil Monk would be..)
(And now I’m here lol-) :D
Well it was quite enjoyable. Seeing a creepy pasta or underfell like AU of Monk is scary but really entertaining!! Keep up the work

Ehh, the story is interesting, but like... just feels a little too rushed. The powers of Saint barely does anything to further the plot, the thing about the void makes not much sense, nor does saint coming back so early, or the cycles even being able to be messed up. As well as the exploring other worlds part. I'm struggling to think of how monk escaped the void, it was just like "and now monks out" with no explanation of how, other than will power? I don't know why saint or survivor with saints powers couldn't just ascend monk, perminantly killing them. And none of saints powers really do anything to survivor, besides giving him eyes :/
That’s fine if you feel that way! - the nutshells are supposed to just be quick summary’s of the story ( shorted down so people can process all the information )
- and this is the first nutshell btw.. there’s already a second one and I plan to make a third in summer maybe
( also Survivors appearance heavily alters later on and I have already shown videos of that change )

Even still I can understand any confusion in the lore as it trails off from the usual canon known stuff from the actual Rainworld franchise - but I mean that’s what aus are - alternate universes with limitless possibilities

Listen, I personally don’t like your AU. At least because I always considered these two to be canon only. Because they have always been the middle of this whole circle. It's just hard for me to perceive them as others. AU it’s good, it’s just not my thing
