Mike, did the previous owner replace the nut? The stringspacing looks so wide, and that E string seems not exactly line up with the tuner (above the nut). Now, let's discuss this weight thing, oh wait... 😊
Hey Pete, good to hear from you. I think I'm the third owner, the owner before me certainly didn't replace it and I'm pretty sure the original owner wouldn't have done. Got the bass in front of me, string spacing is bang on 19mm at the bridge. You're right, the E string doesnt line up exactly with the machinehead but I've just checked a couple of other basses in the collection and there are a few with the same thing going on, might be a common thing with Mexican Fedners, but it doesn't seem to affect the tone. The weight - this was my mistake, trying to do too many jobs at once and that one slipped through the net. Won't happen again! Cheers dude!
Arrrrggghhhh! Editorial foul up on my part, my apologies. It is 4.5kgs. I was trying to spin too many plates at once, my bad. Thank you for the heads up.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to an editorial blunder on my part, the weight is listed in the spec as 3.7kgs - it is actually 4.5kgs.
Wow! Really punchy and brings the snarl! 🔥😎💯
All of that... and a whole lot more! Thanks for the comment!

@@BrooksysBassCorner That last thing was not too serious ofcourse. Anyways, thanks for clearing it up!
No worries, mate. Taken in good humour. Just grateful that you comment... thank you!
Forgive me if I'm missing an explanation, but you seem to have 3.7kg listed on the video but speak of 4.5kg during it. Could you clarify? Thanks.

does this bass have an open route from pickups (wiring) to control panel?
Yessir, it does. I took the plate off to check for you. Thanks for the comment!
Sorry but my 2011 60th Anniversary American Special pbass with LaBella flats has much more punch and just sounds better.
Thanks for the comment.
