Love your videos! I'm hoping to buy a Mooney soon and regularly fly out of KGMU, so this was extra fun to watch and fantasize about what my future will (hopefully soon) look like!

About your CHTs, you can adjust the cowl flap gap so there's less of a gap when they're closed. I open mine about 3/4" for summer operations and close them all the way for winter. You just need to thread in/out the ball joint attaching them, in the same spot where you would disconnect them yo remove the lower cowling.

I enjoy watching you fly. Good to see you're fully in control of your aircraft.... unlike a certain pilot who cared about how she looks in the her multitude of go-pros and had zero skills in basic aviating. Keep up the good work and may you and the rest of the family have a great Xmas.

"the tone you are hearing is the autopilot telling me the camera is about to fall". - lol, Garmin just keep stretching the envelope of what they can do with sensors and wireless comms!!! btw, I spent a decade at CMI, got my cert last Summer and really enjoy your channel. Keep up the great work Tom.

Again, very professionally flown, Tommy. Your comms, briefings, checklist discipline, and mastery over your Mooney and panel are evident. Adjusting your touchdown point for your planned turnoff is something I don’t see a lot in GA. Most pilots don’t give it a second thought and just go for the numbers every time, even if the turnoff is at the end of a 5000’ runway. Also props for continuing your learning journey. I’m also a fan of Mike Busch’s webinars, articles, and the AOPA podcast you mentioned. It’s also nice to see you use GA for the greater good. I do Pilots N Paws and Young Eagles flights. Cheers.

First, take care of your dad.... He won't be here forever. I wish I'd had mine around for as long as you. We lost him when I was 11. I'm 76 now. Looking at your electronics, I'm green with envy! I still have the old steam six pack with a King KNS80... Ha!!! You're a good pilot. I'd fly with you anytime.

You rock! I had a M20F logged over 1000 trouble / incident free hours. You fly like I did when I had my Mooney, keep it up. I took amazing care of my bird and it took care of me. Oh take care of your dad. I lost mine but have great flying memories...I took up up all the time.

Cool Vid Tom. Interesting change to the channel title and the hair. Reasons for both? Just curious. Still trying to buy a plane but the loan is less than I’d like. So I have to live vicariously through you and your Mooney. I know you’re a part of your annuals but do you know what they charge without your help? Keep up the good work, vids, and flights. Happy Holidays to you and your family. Fly safe!

I see you got a haircut. Fair warning, being an adult sucks, but doing short/no hair is easy.
I have been impressed with your professionalism and maturity of your decision making skills but most of all I have been impressed at your parenting and devotion to your son.
If you are seeking a career in aviation I may be able to help. I am retired from the airline now but still know a few folks. I will not profit at all, you will not make me any money so I am not selling you.
Just so you know, the airline is based at KCMH. If you would like to speak with me we will set something up. I don’t do instagram
