Hi mate. Great video, thank you. I’ve just got one and there isn’t that many instructions online from ND. When I start it and connect the remote, it then starts making lots of noise and started to rev almost, in our out the water. Is that meant to happen? I know you’re meant to hold the back buttons to calibrate but unsure what this revving and driving is about. Thank you 🙏🏻
I purchased my boat end of Feb, yet to use it. But will be in next few days. Mine came with the 5A charger also..I've purchased a separate 3amp charger also. Good review mate. Very honest, very fair
Good review. For me personally, no matter how good the product is, if the customer service does not match then I will stay well clear. The non professional attitude of the guy at ND, says it all really. Plenty of other products to choose from out there. Good review.
Do you calibrate it every time you use the boat? For example I’ve just dropped my rig on the spot turned my boat off got the other rod ready, will I then need to calibrate it again?
They recommend you calibrate everytime you turn it off. I calibrate when I.get to.the lake and.thats it.generally. it may.not be 100% back on the spot but I then just move it with.the controller, them open.the hoppers.

The battery does sit under the handle so yes you have to take the handle off to charge the battery. It does take less than a minute so honestly no faff really.
Hi good review I have watched your review on the Chinese boat. But can't find part 2 how did you get on with it I have one very close to that one and wonted to see others opinion on it but most seem to be in German can't find a good one in English it does seem to do the job ok for a budget boat but I'm not sure that the GPS is that acreate how did you find .I'm not expecting it to be on a par with more up market boats but I'm on a budget and this seemed pricy good for the price how did you find it's performance please .
Hi Paul. Good point I should do a follow up review. You're quite right the GPS is only accurate to about 2m squared and should be calibrated each time its turned on.... but for the money it's hard to find better. Load rigs from the top, battery lasts forever, weighs nothing and has GPS 👏👏
Hey buddy, firstly I'm so glad I found your review. I've watched a bunched and was convinced on this boat until I saw yours. The customer service bothered me so I thought I'd do a little digging before dropping my cash. Not only did they completely ignore my messages, according to their trustpilot page they are an abysmal company. Numerous examples of faulty products and even more of shocking customer service. I'm gutted as really wanted this boat but wouldn't touch these guys with a barge pole!
Dan ill be honest, I'm sat at PC doing a 1 year on review and despite the poor customer service I had and the issues they are still having with thier chargers I can't recommend the boat enough. Up to this purchase all the customer service I got from ND was great, hence why I was confident in parting with my cash. Yep there are loads on negative comments in social media, but that's mainly coz the same amount of.people don't leave positive comments. I'm sure there ate more Happy ND2 boat owners out there than unhappy ones. I genuinely don't think for the money there is anything better. Despite my issues I still 100% believe this is the best boat in the market for the money, but I've not had a single hardware fault in the year I've had it. I do know.plenty people that have been in touch with ND for issues and got help but similarly loads that haven't. My advice to those would be search the forums on FB, most of the answers are there, and on RUclips. I know its a lot of money and you want to make the right choice dude. If you don't already own a Deeper and can afford it maybe look at the Deeper Quest Boat, if your well off the RT7 🤪 If not the ND2 is still a good option dude. I love mine, and after not using it for a few sessions I'm keen to.use it this weekend. I Hope.this has helped a bit, if ya got any questions.dude just ask
@jvacarpyadventures7045 Once again, I really appreciate your honesty. I'm just terrified that I'd drop £550 plus the autopilot cost for an issue to occur and ND not giving a rats ass. For that price, you can get a MK4 Procat and have confidence in Angling Technics but without the autopilot feature. Also, whilst it doesn't have the same degree of features I'm hearing very good things about the Boatman Actor Plus.
Hi Andy. No you only.need the data connection when you first open the app at the lake so it can load the lake map. You need Bluetooth on so the remote can communicate with the app.
@@jvacarpyadventures7045 that's good to know Jason, I have just ordered one thru fisheye fitted with raymarine pro sonar and winch cam etc they recommend and build them, it should arrive anytime 👍
HI Glen, you can save locations on the remote and app without purchasing the autopilot just means you have to manually drive it there and wait for a light or bleep to indicate you've reached your saved point 👍🏻
What amount of weight did you add to the front each side. Was it 60g in total or each side. I’d assumed it was the total but I wanted to make sure before purchasing the weights. Thanks in advance 👍🏼

Your chat with ND was 8 months ago. Their website still says the charger is 3A?! For a typo, that is a ridiculous amount of time to change the text on a Web page. What an appalling response from ND also. The charger makes a big difference if the consumer wants best life from the batteries or wishes to upgrade them.
Very true, I have been following this since and if you look on the bait boat forums it seems they now ship with a 2 Amp charger. So much for me be totally wrong and the 5 Amp was fine lol
Sorry bud I've not got through it yet, done a 48 hour session and a 72 hour session and I've just started another 72 session. I don't expect it to last the full session but certainly doing well.
New 1 year on review out this Friday, may be worth watching as I still rate the bait boat very highly. Plus doing a free giveaway for.a.battery,.charger and voltmeter 😀
I've looked at other reviews, and it also has a weight distribution problem. The front sits high in the water, so you have to stick weights under neath to counter balance, so I've just bought a boatman but a good onest review if that's the attitude of the makers then don't buy it 👍
Hello Jason great review mate, I really fancy one off these but I’ve read so much about there crap after sales department I’m in two minds. Have you had any problems while using the boat after this review ?
Hi Jamie, I recently used it for.a full week at France without missing a beat. I do recommend the boat as I think it's the best in its price bracket. Don't let my customer service experience tarnish your view. I've previously had great customer service from ND and still use their other products.
@@jvacarpyadventures7045 hello Jason cool hope you had a good week in France, this boat gets some great reviews so I think I’ll be buying one. Great channel mate 🙂
Really interesting review.. im looking for a new boat at this time and as I sadly live in the real world im on a budget. I do like the look of that boat and I can see why it appeals within that price range… At the risk of being called childish myself I think the customer care correspondence you received is terrible.. I haven’t spent a penny with ND yet so a blank canvas for me… but as you say you spent a grand with them and they talk to you like that.. wow
@darrengrimmer8541 yes on that occasion I wasn't impressed with their responses. But to be fair to ND upto that point I had always received really good customer Service.

I got the bait boat 2 yrs ago it’s been back around 5 times . First time I took it out the gps broke . Just this last few days it’s gone again . Have no faith in this thing at all
Great and honest review, however, TBH, I really am not sure where you are going with the 3amp and 5amp issue with the charger. A 5amp charger would be far more effective for charging the batteries there is no reason why they would degrade your battery faster... Where did you get that information? I highly doubt ND would be supplying something that would potentially cause them issues. So on that point, I actually don't think their customer service response was bad, you were asking for something unnecessary. I have dealt with ND customer service and can only describe it as excellent. People will be calling you Karen soon mate, haha Great review though - Ps, I bought a winch camera with mine... Check them out, serious game changer when you can actually see what is on the bottom.
Karen lol Thanks Les. Without going over it all again because I have lots. Let's just say along with my experience I know someone that makes the lithium batteries and they have confirmed the same. Have been looking at the winch cams but geeze they aint cheap. You got the Stealh Cam or Fisheye?
@@jvacarpyadventures7045 I think battery care is more essential that the difference of 2amps. Making sure you don't over charge, or charge at incorrect points will degrade the battery faster. Sorry, I have a degree in electrical engineering... Anyway, we can agree to disagree. Its the fisheye one mate, it's mega. Yes they are expensive, more than the ND boat TBH, but I bought mine as a package and got a great deal. The charge capacity of lithium iron batteries is 1c so for your battery it 5.2a so perfectly safe thats classed as standard charge

Yes for sure the next will be on making wafters. I have a Catfish setup just not fished for them for about 2 years, long over due a Catfish trip
What amount of weight did you add to the front each side. Was it 60g in total or each side. I’d assumed it was the total but I wanted to make sure before purchasing the weights. Thanks in advance 👍🏼
Hi Glen I used two 60g strips on each side, with i think 1 5g block leftover for each strip. So in total you will need 4x 60gram strips.
