  • Sophinique likes cleaning windows, she's a bit loud, but otherwise, I think we're gonna get along just fine :)
    I received this robot as a gift from some amazing colleagues as my farewell gift from my previous job. I was not paid to review this product - opinions are my own.
    Full robot name: Sophinique Intelligent Window Cleaner

    You'd think, since windows are square, the robot would be square to get those corners.

    Its so cool to see you again! I was wondering, how many years of learning did it take you to be able to create your own robots?

      Thank you! I haven't given up on the humanoid robot, but I've been a bit busy with other work lately. I hope to get a bit more time for it soon!!! 🦾

    Just got my sophonique and it’s not spraying. The instructions say to be sure the water spray function is on. Where is the water spray function indicator?

    you mention only putting in a couple drops of window cleaner. Is that include water to fill the tank and then you add the drops?

    • @paulaslab
      @paulaslab  2 года назад

      Yep. Warm water and then a few drops of window cleaner.

    The product is not practical and it need to be faster and smart to work alone with no external control. One certral cleaning brush will be better.

    Good video; made me wait for the silent generation. Also it's way to slow and it needs a lot of maneuvering. It would have taken me a fraction of the time to do all that cleaning myself. All you need is a squeegee with an extension, but if you spend $200 on this piece of crap, you certainly can spend ten bucks on a squeegee.. Cheers!

  • @AltMarc
    @AltMarc 2 года назад +2

    Sorry, that's the worst robot ever, too noisy, too slow, doesn't reach corners and spray the cleaning solution in the air 3:32...
    Do you need to put it upside down, to get the top of the window, spray cleaned?

    • @marianaurel
      @marianaurel 2 года назад

      being outside and by the looks she lives at least a few floors up, where is quite windy, so that jet of spraying was probably directed towards the window but the wind seems to take it away, just like when you are spraying to clean the windows from the outside yourself (if you have ever done it)

    • @AltMarc
      @AltMarc 2 года назад +1

      @@marianaurel A sponge does the job way better, ever seen pros using 50 feet poles to clean windows, they have a spongy tool the size and look of "whipper"?
      I also clean the window frame, and using this machine dry first will scratch your windows too.
      And I don't talk about the time it takes, I'd clean all windows of her house in 20 minutes...
      IT IS A GADGET.

    • @marianaurel

      @@AltMarc i only replied because you mentioned that jet/spray and yes I agree with you, and i would never buy such thing, for myself is useless. But I am looking at it as a robotics engineer and this might be usefull for the elderly people that live by themselves, which for example in Romania there are a surpring amount of them, as the younger generation abbandons them to go and live abroad. Now this robot is a nice addition to robotics enthusiasts or those passionate at collecting such things.
      Hope that clarifies my point.

      @@marianaurel It does not! Families in Eastern Europe care a lot more for their elderly than anywhere else in the civilized world. Here in the US, kids are out the house when leaving for college and often times parents are happy about it... Next you know, they put you in a retirement facility... Not so much in that corner of the world... Be happy about it!

      @@marianaurel Auzi la el "younger generation abbandons them to go and live abroad"! Serios? Ar trebui sa-ti fie rusine ca spui asemenea ineptii! In Romania sunt foarte multi oameni muncitori! Sunt mai omenosi si mai ospitalieri decat multe alte natii! Crede-ma, am vazut mai multe decat crezi tu!
