Introducing a new member of my robot family: Sophinique
Sophinique likes cleaning windows, she's a bit loud, but otherwise, I think we're gonna get along just fine :)
I received this robot as a gift from some amazing colleagues as my farewell gift from my previous job. I was not paid to review this product - opinions are my own.

3D printed parts repurposed for the Holiday season: Modern Plastic Christmas tree
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.4 года назад
I have a bunch of 3d prints that I don't need anymore (either failed prints or prints I don't need anymore since I changed the design), and I've been looking for a solution that would avoid me just throwing away all the plastic. For this winter season, I decided to not buy a Christmas tree made of wood, or have a Festivus pole of metal, but instead reuse the plastic I already have to build a mo...

Humanoid Robot - Neck Design
Просмотров 16 тыс.4 года назад
Here's the humanoid robot neck design that I have at the moment in my humanoid robot. Works reasonably okay, though I'm sure some improvements can be made. Also, I'm testing bi-directional communication between Raspberry Pi and Arduino. I see the Raspberry Pi as the brain and the Arduino as the actuation/muscles and sensing controller. This is just a simple test of how the two work together, bu...

Humanoid Robot - Project Update (March 2020)
Просмотров 7 тыс.4 года назад
An overview of the status of my humanoid robot project: I got the arm, the trunk and the head almost done, but still need to do some testing, and put things together. I'm using a lot of cool components for this project: Arduino, stepper motor, servo motors, rotary encoder, timing belts, ball bearings, 3d printed parts, a lot of rods, screws and metal, and a lot, a lot of patience to put things ...
Servo Calibrator - using Arduino and potentiometers
Просмотров 5074 года назад
I've been working a lot with servos lately and so to make my life easier I built a testing device for servos (or servo calibrator) so that I can identify the min and max PWM values needed to operate each of them (as values can differ across servos) and also for setting them at the right position before assembly. Components: Arduino Uno, adjustable power supply, 4 potentiometers, a PCA9685 servo...

Very good video, I just bought the robot
Cool!
Does this work automatic ? or you have to have the control all the time with you ?
better try making the video with stable camera next time... literally wasnt able to figure what actually u were tryin to show or how does it work
You'd think, since windows are square, the robot would be square to get those corners.
Hot Paula, very nice.
The product is not practical and it need to be faster and smart to work alone with no external control. One certral cleaning brush will be better.
How can I learn this want to learn me

Música para los oídos 🫵🤑
Suuuper
poor vector😂
You might try printing nylon or ABS for parts that need more strength. Thanks for sharing. 😁
Very Cool! Love that elbow mechanism. Ingenious!
do you think this would work on a car windshield? with the curvature?
Thank you for this video, it was very helpful. I especially like your method of tracing AND taking measurements on one big sheet of paper. Sure, it seems obvious, but I've never thought to do that. I'm currently trying to design an airtag battery cover for my tv remote, and I'm having a lot of trouble copying the shape. This video has helped quite a bit, so I checked out your channel in hopes of more tips. Your other projects are really cool, and I loved learning about them!
Very interesting build! I'm trying to build it myself. How were you able to invert the polarity of one half of the pumps? I might be wrong, but the schematic you provided doesn't seem to reflect that. It shows all the pumps are connected with the same polarity. Could you elaborate on that? Thanks a lot!
Hey Paula! Im 13 years old and im recreating your project for fun, i printed the skull and everything, but can you say where you got the mechanical eyes?
Wonderful to hear about your project! I based the eye mechanism on this one: www.nilheim.co.uk/latest-projects-and-blog/simplified-3d-printed-animatronic-dual-eye-mechanism and just adapted it a bit to include camera holders.
@@paulaslab Thank you so much for your reply! That helped a lot, do you reckon I buy a bigger sized servo? The ones you used in the base of the neck to tilt the head up and down were definetly bigger than micro servos, Not sure if that makes a difference.
@@paulaslab Do you happen to have a work email or anything? I would LOVE to show you what Ive made inspiried by your work and any tips or suggestions.
Can you use this in a bathtub/shower so we can see if it cleans it before I buy it? ❤️
Awesome, hey I want to work on such a project for the upcoming expo ..I need some assistance
the eyes need web cameras and focusing lenses
Great video. Really easy to understand
That looks like a christmas tree that's fit for a star wars christmas special. I love your projects.
This is so cool!!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful project.
That actually scared me
hello, just to summary can you edit the materials what we need ? 1) bread board 2)Arduin 3)motor 5v 4)Pump ? I have a question, what is the the think between arduino and voltage? thank you
How to get the job robotics
Did the humanoid turn on you? Hope not!

i love this project .cool.
correct z offset, you are very tall...
Hai Paula sa facem o fabrica de roboti!
Tare !
Good video; made me wait for the silent generation. Also it's way to slow and it needs a lot of maneuvering. It would have taken me a fraction of the time to do all that cleaning myself. All you need is a squeegee with an extension, but if you spend $200 on this piece of crap, you certainly can spend ten bucks on a squeegee.. Cheers!
Wow, I will start skeching my robot from today. I was happy and could smile while watching the video.
Try printing 100% infill pcs of smaller parts to get the weight down. Also using fewer servos that are more efficient will help alot. Pause on the torso disign , and work on the legs. Keep in mind if it can't stand on its own it will not be able to carry weight. Here's where it.gets tricky; think a 2 leg table. That's what we are and so your Android must be the same. I hope this helps, a little anyway. Keep up the good work. 🤖🤔
You could have a four point tank tread on both sides with a swivel tension arm so that you can change the angle of the forward tread.
You’re a robot looks great! Have you thought about decreasing the weight by switching out some of the components in the arms so that it is a cable pully system instead of a servo system? You might be able to pull off some multiplication of strength with a geared system with that. I am also looking forward to building something similar to yours, but I figure I need to get a 3-D printer and some basic Arduino/pi compatible parts.
The human vertebra is a terrible catalyst to work off of. It has too many moving parts and is unsteady as well as impractical for introducing a large amount of power draining servos. This is one of the reasons you don't see many humanoid robots with legs. Might I suggest a reinforced framed torso instead.
you are incredible! beautiful project!
Bro the eyes are just .... kill it
How loud is the pump?
The start of the invasion
u better not create skynet terminator bots
You're channel is criminally undersubscribed.
Your prints could look way better with that size nozzle, 100% need to dial in that printer. Was nice seeing a different method and will have to try tinkercad for my own projects sometime. Thanks!
Nice 😍👻
Great video! Are You still using Them? Do you know if the valves is only on/off states or do they work like the old Danfoss, keeping a steady stream of heat going ?
Still using them and setting a target temperature, so they adjust automatically to the target desired temperature.
This is splendid
Broooo where did you get those cameras in the eyes? They are the exact size im looking for!!
Found them on AliExpress searching for usb cameras. :)
